he had a lot of tough calls not go his way tonight, took him out of any groove he may have had.

This team is just lost without Chris Paul.
Not worried about it. There's worse places to be than relying on Chris Paul to win.
They've been relying on him way too much the last few years though and it hasn't translated into any kind of real playoff success.
Sure the Clippers are good enough right now to make the playoffs but if they can't win without constant heroics from Chris Paul they aren't even close to being title contenders.
That's the issue here. If the goal of the Clippers is to win the championship, they can't rely on Chris Paul to bail them out every night.

honestly, that was themost disgusting first quarter i have seen in a long time. harden couldn't do anything, we failed on TWO.. TWOOO freaken inbound plays, dudley and redick just couldn't miss and those calls..my god...you wouldn't see some of those calls in netball and that is a non contact sport...
I think Harden was really hobbled by the sprained ankle he suffered in the Utah Game Saturday night. Not that his defense is ever consistently good, but he had no explosiveness on offense either. Couldn't dunk his break away layup, didn't try any quick lateral crossovers, or have any ability to take Redick who is equally defensively challenged off the dribble, and Harden's defense was terrible even by his standards. Hopefully he can do better tonight vs Portland, or just sit out and recover.
Clippers big men's D was/is always their problem. And I don't mean just their bench big men. Mullens is horrible like Ace said. Jamison doesn't even play and he is fighting Mullens for playing time, so he must look horrible. Jordan and Griffin really need to work on their D though.
And I was thinking that it is easy to see the influence of Alvin Gentry (extension of D'Antoni) in the Clippers offense already. Their pace is quicker than last year and their 3 point attempts are way up. Redick has been solid and he will only get better as the season goes on.
