According to one advanced metric, 'wins produced', he's been the worst player in the league so far; and, it seems, by some margin. http://www.boxscoregeeks.com/articles/chris-paul-vs-derrick-rose-revisited It may be a courage/confidence issue; or maybe he just likes to be brought along slowly. His decision not to play last year is evidence of either theory.

What makes him so great right now is how well he's been defending, if he keeps that up then it honestly doesn't matter if teams cut his offensive production down he'd still be a lock for ROTY.

Obviously scoring will get tougher as defenses adjust and he's never been a high volume scorer. But he plays good defense for a rookie (he's terrible at handling screens though) and his passing/effort are exceptional. I dunno. We'll see. Reminds me a bit of watching young Wade (I know people will say Rondo for the length/passing, but his willingness to shoot inside, ability to adjust his shot and constantly going for putbacks is more Wade-like imo). I'm sure the assist numbers will drop as Spencer Hawes stops shooting 65%.

As for the Bulls they just dont look good. Noah is not being productive outside rebounding, Butler only shoots open shots and is afraid to drive, and Rose is still "rusty". God I hope they make the play offs and stay healthy. Next year will be a rough year with all the free agents.
