Only negative about him is that he sometimes seems like an media attention whore by flaming managers or ex. National Coaches. Yeah, awesome football player, kinda horrible as a person (dont like his character)... But thats pretty common, haha

The only thing I can criticize him for are his uncharacteristic errors exactly then when it mattered the most for the national team: EURO 2008 semifinal turkish equalizer a fwe minutes from full time (he made up for that though be scoring the winning goal), EURO 2008 final and 2012 semifinal he looked very bad when Spain and Italy scored. I cant remember him getting much blame for either, whereas with some other players the german media/fans are less forgiving,

The communucation between 4th and 1st referee should be better than this. 65sec are just too long. I am very sure that this 65sec delay made him the angry-face toward 4th referee.

he was apologizing a lot for this after the match, don't see why he should be punished further. i mean all he did was yelling to the 4th, it's not like he knocked him out or something like that. although i still find the scene hilarious. xD

He's setting a realy bad example for the youth if you ask me, like you dont have to give a shit about what your doing if you just say i'm sorry after.

With the same logic refs give a way worse example for the youth "whatever you do, however you play, in the end one guy holds all the power to screw you" "refs getting annoyed" - hahaha, they should ask coaches and players who IS NOT annoyed by refs lol And at least he IS saying sorry afterwards, how many times do refs do that?

had 900 specs... If they would have played fifa and broadcasted it via twitch they would have gotten more. Europa League really needs to be trimmed down, half the teams would easily be enough.

As a Freiburg fan, I have to admit that they are not a team that is made for international competition. Last year was a great season (they had a few of those before though), but they lost many of their key players, while most of the current squad are not used to have competitive games during the week on a regular basis, let alone having to travel through half of europe before. Of course, they have some new young players with potential but little experience so far, so I expect them to have a better second half of the season (as they usually had for the last seasons iirc). TBH before the start of the season I though it was a realistic possibiliy that Freiburg would be relegated to 2nd division. If they can make it out of the groupstage in the Europa league/get another good DFB-cup run and barely avoid relegation while continuing to play some young players, I will consider it a successful season by Freiburg's standards. edit: seems like I forgot some words ![]()

A domestic cup winner, and a team who finishes a place behind a champions league place (example, finishing 5th in the premier league). Then they would all go into qualifying round as just being 1 or 2 and then the group stage a RO32 event.

Kruse, Caligiuri and Flum were definitely key players Freiburg lost, and their most notable new players, Coquelin and Darida, are both disappointments so far. Ofc in the end there are the referees who hold all the power?! its their job, maybe you meant something else.. Sure it is better to say im sorry afterwards, but he just does the same things every time and is then sorry after, which you realy cant take as a sincere apology. He is long enough involed to keep his cool on the sideline, AND learn from mistakes and not do them over and over, only to say what he did was wrong. http://www.spiegel.de/sport/fussball/fussball-schiedsrichter-boss-kritisiert-bvb-trainer-juergen-klopp-a-869071.html ( DFB Head Referee stating that Klopps behavior is unaccaptable ) Don't think that is something to laugh about but ok.

Schalke has a lot of injury problems, however, so I doubt they have a chance vs Chelsea in their current form. It will be interesting to see how strong Arsenal really are.
