Has the german media exploded yet? With headlines of not playing a striker vs Man City? xD I mean it worked, they destroyed city, but they had a pretty good striker sat on the bench xD

I don't know if you can really call Bayern's formation strikerless, Müller played some sort of weird semi-striker role.

Guardiola said Mandzukic is an important part of the team, but he needed more mobility upfront against ManC. I guess he likes to shuffle around his players to surprise the opponent

Lol, fair enough! I know playing Muller as the false 9 worked, but i just have a feeling not many of the media outlets seem to like Pep and what he is doing?

Next 2 games are vs Benfica, it's the meat of this group considering PSG is already so far ahead.

Munich controlled the game tightly but their goals came with some luck. Ribery from far, Robben with right foot, not sure how often Müller can make it like he did...
Mancity had a shot at the bar and a 1on1 with the goalie (stopped by boateng), and some other good chances while also their goal needed a perfect shot, so Id say it was a bit lucky.
The game showed that Bayern has an amazing midfield and attack, but looked breachable in the back.
when Müller plays as striker its so much fun to watch, he plays so creatively, id love to see that again!

Benfica has an incredible squad, but they are playing like crap nowadays. I think that the players aren't getting along with the coach. So in that light, i think that olympiakos might get ahead and get 2nd in the group after the next 2 games. Considering that PSG will win both games vs Anderlecht (which isn't that farfetched)

ya lahm is SOOO good at those tackles where he actually ends up with the ball afterwards. I don't even watch him play all that often, but feels like he has one of those every game.

In my opinion, Lahm is the best player in the world, at least among the defensive players. And has been for quite some time. I mean you cannot really compare him to offensive players, but Lahm's play is sometimes near perfection, no matter the position he plays.

Yeah Lahm is simply amazing. I can't really find it at the moment, but I saw somewhere that supposedly he hasn't missed a game because of suspension. If that's true, it's a really amazing stat.

I liked Lahm since his seasons in Stuttgart before coming back to Bayern. He's been playing on the highest level pretty much ever since.

Only negative about him is that he sometimes seems like an media attention whore by flaming managers or ex. National Coaches.
