Frank De Boer 13/8 Tim Sherwood 4/1 Michael Laudrup 8/1 Glenn Hoddle 8/1 Fabio Capello 9/1 Frank Rijkaard 10/1 Murat Yakin 12/1 Gianfranco Zola 25/1 Cesare Prandelli 25/1 Mauricio Pochettino 25/1 Luciano Spalletti 25/1 Ralf Rangnick 33/1 Rafa Benitez 33/1 Jurgen Klinsmann 33/1 Ole Gunnar Solskjaer 33/1 Roberto Martinez 33/1 Martin Jol 33/1 Roberto Di Matteo 33/1 Alan Pardew 40/1 Guus Hiddink 40/1 Rudi Garcia 40/1 Marcelo Bielsa 50/1 Harry Redknapp 50/1 Roberto Mancini 50/1 Vincenzo Montella 50/1 Dan Petrescu 50/1 Luis Enrique 50/1 Steve Clarke 50/1 Franco Baldini 50/1 Jurgen Klopp 66/1 Diego Simeone 66/1 Lee Clark 66/1 Malky Mackay 66/1
To put it bluntly there is some major money to be made here. Martin Jol ex spurs manager is fkn 33-1? LOL

Some odd choices there. Funny to see de Boer so high up, because to me that doesn't seem very likely.

Murat Yakin can make a man out of Tottenham.
He deserves a better team than Basel.

He deserves a better team than Basel. Yakin is a similar risk to AVB though. He's had success managing the biggest team in a small league, but what does that mean? I think someone more experienced is needed to fix this train wreck. Personally I would have loved Mancini but you guys got to him first!

I still think Ysellian's choice of Malkay Mackay is the best lol. I mean he done wonders with Cardiff and has learnt lots. Give him a chance if any, the rest are all the same but not achieved anything. De Boer, best thing about his Ajax team is they play nice football with limited funds. What he going to do when he has 30million to spend and a wonder squad? Another risk anyway. At least Mackay knows premiership.
Mauricio Pochettino 25/1 is again another good choice but wtf still can't speak English in press conferences after over 12 months in the job >.<
Jurgen Klopp 66/1 Diego Simeone 66/1 Tottenham can't attract
Rudi Garcia 40/1 Marcelo Bielsa 50/1 Also wouldn't go
Jurgen Klinsmann 33/1 Roberto Martinez 33/1 Another two that wouldn't move
Fabio Capello 9/1 Would only go after the World Cup or Roman would have him killed.

Yeah, I agree with your assessment Pandemona. Pochettino was one of the coaches I overlooked, he has done a really good job at Southampton but yeah his lack of English could be a bit of a problem (At least he could get Soldado firing).
As for de Boer; you are right Spurs is financially a step up and the EPL is a step up from the Eredivisie as well, but for me the problem is the timing. In the summer anything can happen, but for de Boer to move mid season he would lose his chance at winning a fourth title with ajax and his kids won't want to move mid terms.

The other issue for FdB is that he'd lose his right-hand man. There is no chance Bergkamp would coach Spurs.
I don't think Levy will hire anyone before the summer. Supposedly he thinks highly of Sherwood et al., and wants to give them a chance. Prepare yourselves for the mighty 4-4-2!

Yeah you would have more chance of getting a better manager if you wait until after the world cup. Hell Klinsman might be tempted, but why would you want him 0.O

De Boer has only Ajax on his mind according to his agent.
He's also one of the most down to earth people in our country and we're already a pretty 'down-to-earth' kind of people :p. So when he says he stays at Ajax I have no doubt.
In any case, I highly doubt it.

+ Show Spoiler +De Boer is 'zeer vereerd' met interesse Spurs
Translation: De Boer is 'very honored' by the interest of Spurs
Frank de Boer was linked to Spurs on Thursday. Before the cup duel with IJsselmeervolgens he let it be known that he had no reason whatsoever to leave Ajax. "I have definitely not spoken with the Spurs. If there was interest, I'd be honored, but I have my full attention on Ajax and I'm keeping to that'

In any case, I highly doubt it. Yeah, his name only came up because the Tottenham board and Franco Baldini apparently love him. They are looking for a young manager who can help develop youth talent and stay with the club for the next 10 years, so he was an obvious target given his work at Ajax. De Boer doesn't seem motivated by money and I can't think of any other reason for him to take the Spurs job.
I wouldn't be too surprised if FdB took the Barcelona job in the future, with Vertonghen joining him.

I see him there at some point aswell not too far in the future.. Rossell would have to have gone by then though.

Well sounds to me like that Tan guy just handed Spurs a good manager IMO

Holy shit, Vincent Tan is completely freaking insane. All he needs to do is erect a Michael Jackson statue.

Kinda sad to see AVB crash and burn like this. I feel like everyone was woo'd by him at first, he won everything at Porto, speaks pretty good English for a foreign manager, is good looking, dresses well, charismatic. When he played Utd he would always play a lot more riskier than other teams and have a high line, only to have it backfire. I didn't know he was actually tactically inept instead of just naive. Tottenham hasn't done well with their previous two foreign managers, at least Ramos was good for a short while before he imploded. My guess is the next manager will be a domestic one if not English, it's just too much of a gamble to get someone who's never coached in England before.

In other news, Jack Wilshere has been banned for two games for sticking his middle finger up at the crowd (I'd like to think it was actually intended for the shit refs) on Saturday. Kind of bullshit, since Suarez only got one game for the same offense, and Yaya Toure got nothing for this shit in the same game.
And it's being reported that Diego Costa has a £32m release clause. I doubt that he'd agree to a move in January, but if he really does have one, he's going to get some tempting offers this summer.
