-Buy established players --> bad -Buy promising young players and have them stay at the club 10 years --> bad If half of these players fulfil their potential Chelsea will (in 3-4 years time) have one of if not the greatest midfield ever in football, I mean look at these players: Romelu Lukaku (20) André Schürrle (22) Victor Moses (22) Eden Hazard (22) Lucas Piazón (19) Oscar (21) Juan Mata (25) Kevin de Bruyne (22) Marco van Ginkel (20) Oriol Romeu (21) The list goes on and on... Its been ten years since Roman took over and I think the time has come for the club to settle down and cement its place at the top. Before Ferguson came to Utd they were the big club that never won anything, 25 years later look at them now, where will Chelsea be in 15 years time? Will anyone care/remember about the money that was pumped into the club at the start? Today's triumphs become tomorrows history I have never been so exited for a start to the new season, Mourinho is here for the long haul, I (and many other fans) have a feeling this is the beginning of a new era, with Ferguson out of the way we can safely farm trophies for the next decade the way you are supposed to, build a great young team and have Jose (the greatest manager in the world) mold them into the future legacy of this club.

I do admit they're doing a better job now though with more attacking football and I start disliking them less and less :p.

And Twisted Chelsea haven't played negatively. If you call the CL run in 2012 negative you are insane. It's called sensibly conservative to play like that against Barca and Bayern away. They played open v napoli and benfica.

Meh, when I watch Barcelona 'being bored out of my skull' is an understatement, yet listen to the press talk about 'attacking' football. Chelsea were at times the most swashbuckling attacking team in the world, breaking all records but the press never liked us, in the end who cares?

In your opinion. Again, Chelsea's football against Napoli and Benfica was nothing like their play against Barca and Bayern. They were outgunned against Barca and Bayern and yet still triumphed because they used the only sensible strategy. Odds were stacked heavily in the favour of Barca and Bayern but both failed and choked against the blue wall. Their fault, not Chelsea's. As the other guy said, and I agree, Barca's style is more ugly and boring than any style used to beat them. Some of their games recently have been so desperately atrocious, 75% possession games with only a half dozen shots.
