Anyway how about that NY/Boston game. The whole OT period was almost pure Boston offense. Gotta give up to Lundqvist for sure.

Everyone I talk to seems to be under the impression he wouldn't even help the Sens this series... Okay, sorry to rehash the whole Jason Spezza thing but obviously he will help the Sens but it's not going to make a difference because he's completely outclassed by players like Crosby and Malkin. That being said, maybe I need to backtrack and say he isn't overrated now but I don't think he's underrated, either. Sure he has a stellar career PPG, but considering the chemistry he had when he was on that Alfreddson/Heatley line for those few years, culminating up until their SCF run, and the fact that the East has been pretty weak in comparison to the West since the 04/05 lockout, save for perhaps recently, I'd say his stats are somewhat padded... Speaking of their SCF playoff run, Spezza completely disappeared in that series versus a competent defense like Pronger/Niedermeyer. To be fair, his whole line disappeared iirc, but he's not clutch like a lot of other great centers that he's been mentioned as being a part of in the past, nor are those players made of glass like he is. Case in point, looking back in '07 they 4-1'd the 1st seeded Sabres in the Eastern finals only to get 4-1'd themselves in the finals to the Ducks. The next season, they exited the playoffs in the 1st round after getting 4-0'd to the Pens with Spezza having no Alfie due to injury. I'll give credit where credit is due and say that Spezza is a great playmaker and has improved his game, but there are still much better centers in the league: Crosby, Malkin, Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Thornton, Kopitar, Toews, Tavares, Stamkos, E. Staal and Giroux. Maayyyybe even H. Sedin but he's attached to his twin's ass so I think it would only be fair to compare him to twin Spezza's on the same team reading each other's minds... That's another discussion, which I've already gotten into before, and why I think I'm better off not getting into hot water with my sports opinions ![]() ![]() But ya, I think at this point in time, and I guess factoring last season, Spezza get's the attention he deserves. He may not be overrrated, but I certainly don't think he's underrated either. Maybe I'm biased because I'm a Leafs fan, I dunno...

They're all scratched except for Krug. He's in because there are currently 3 defenseman injuries (Redden, Ference, and Seidenberg). Seriously, they take more injuries than they give. I had to look them up, too. I didn't even think Krug is American. EDIT: Forgot Bartkowski played tonight too Because as we all know, the only nationalities that play in the NHL are Canadian and American.

Here's the hit: + Show Spoiler + ![]() Honestly, I didn't even think it was worth the charging penalty that Torres got. It's a hard hockey play where Stoll got caught with his head down, which is his own fault. It should have been shoulder to shoulder. I'm guessing that the league is going to give Torres a rather lengthy suspension because of his reputation (which is deservedly bad). However, he has been playing clean at least since he joined the Sharks, and I definitely wouldn't file this hit under the "dirty" category. Regardless, the Sharks are in big trouble at forward without Torres. He'll be the third unavailable starter (Havlat and Burish are the other two). Thoughts? Retarded If you hit something other than the head first, it shouldn't be a penalty, much less a suspension. I don't like it because of that. The length is clearly a (well earned) rep call I mean yeah he could have hit him through the core like they said on the video, but they're traveling opposite directions at a high rate of speed. And it's not like shoulder contact is illegal http://deadspin.com/watch-these-sad-fans-live-through-the-leafs-crushing-g-508223922 poor dude on the right lol

But when a player like Sid just blows up for five minutes what are you going to do. Sens are only down by one but I don't see them winning the way Anderson is getting shelled.
