I dont know, its hard to be mad at him. He thought he would coast on the wings of Crosby and Malkin to a Cup everyone in Canada decided he deserves because 'heart' or 'grit' or whatever and because one deep run in the playoffs made him Canada's underdog. And to see his brilliant plan scuttled by not only his own non-threatening play but also by the total collapse of the Pens offensive production and the mind numbingly incomprehensibly incompetence of most of their D corp... Well, that must be just an awful shock. Especially after that Harlem Globetrotters shit they pulled on the Sens once they got a goalie who actually can stop the puck occasion -- even if we all still acknowledge that MAF is the super human French god whose statistical impotency is meaningles because he won the cup once and whatever else --

As a Red Wings fan I don't really care who wins as long as the Penguins don't. Petty bitterness can last a long time! But I'm pulling for Boston this year largely because it would be great for the city, what with the shitty year they've been having thus far. LA repeating would be pretty cool too - it sort of diminishes the consecutive Red Wings championships in 97 and 98, but I'm happy to see Hockey prosper in California, and they really do have a good team.

on one hand that was a high risk play, skating even partially on a broken fibula risks retarding his rehab. on the other hand, this is exactly the kind of play that makes hockey so much better than soccer.
