working on your ANKLE and HIP mobility (broomstick squats, "third world squats") will be the number 1 thing to get you squatting properly. ankles need to bend like a motherfucker and hips will help in a way you wont know until it happens. if you can do 10 mins of these 2 stretches twice a day for 2 weeks you will go from having SHIT mobility to having pretty decent mobility. but if you forget to do it 1 or 2 days then you will lose progress very fast so be careful. i better do it now infact -_-

Also, I was told to not overthink stuff, but what I was told and read ... its so much about the squat. Knees towards toes, and your knees while squatting may not go very far above the toes. You need to push your knees to the outside as well as have the weight on your heels, back straight and shoulders and elbows back. No x-legs etc. Really I don't want to overthink stuff, but even when I do a 'proper' squat I cannot really tell if its okay, because it doesn't hurt when doing a high weight squat T_T so scared. I would make a video right now, but since my legs/everything is sore from yesterday and I barely can move I'll do it tomorrow or so. Haha, also I need a cameraman :D :[ I really think I overthink stuff. It should be natural movement

My form on the warmup sets is pretty good. But once I get to my max weight my form starts to break down. On another note. There is only one squat rack in the gym. What the fuck -.-.

@naruto - i was referring more to not freaking yourself out by over thinking. obviously make sure you're doing good technique but at some point you have to stop thinking about it and do it.

Instead, take videos and review them after your workout. edit: This is only if you are trying to hit PRs. If you are just practicing with lighter weights, then it's better to keep thinking and adjusting your form during the workout.

I blame the invention of toilets. if people had to squat to poop everyone would be able to do it perfectly.

A significant improvement in 3RM performance (squat) was noted after erotic, aggressive and training video clips.

As long as you squat down and stand up it doesn't really matter if your technique is a bit off or not when doing close to max on whatever rep range as long as you keep getting stronger Edit: I've never been to a non crossfit gym that has more than 1 squat rack, 1 bench WTF srsly, everyone benches -__-
