First time in my life I used a Leg Press, and it was interesting. Just absolutely no replacement for squats in any shape or form.
The leg press is basically useless since the whole point of squatting is to train your posterior chain in the way it is actually used. The leg press does a horrible job of doing that. Most leg machines are pretty crappy though.

Seems like nobody misses the funkmaster here.
Oh well, I'll see you all on May 1st.
Cheers.

Really satisfied with today, got all my squat reps of 107,5kg after hitting a plateau at 105kg (eating is magic!) and also all my bench reps as well. This means I'll be benching 72,5kg on friday and squatting 110kg on wednesday - only 10kg less than my deadlift lol (I don't even have a long torso or w/e), but I'll be using chalk for the first time ever, I'll finally put an end to my forearms fucking over my deadlifts and see how that goes. Only thing really sucking is my press, but it simply has to go up eventually.. (at least I hope so ;_;)
@178cm, ~71kg all for 3x5
2 months out of my 8-9months progress (finally a proper routine): http://i.imgur.com/kjHFT5P.jpg

Wait a sec, are those weights all with the same reps?
edit: nvm, read your post better.
I have to say I expected better, especially on the press and bench. It's ok if it has some dips in it if the general trend is upwards but those two lines are just flat.
I'd suggest change up the reps, try microloading or another movement.
Also, having bodyweight on the chart can be useful.

Then do something about it. There are so many ways to deal with stalling.
- Deloading
- Change rep format - 1 top set, 5x5, 1 top set + 2-3 backoff sets, high volume stuff like 5 sets x 10 reps
- Change exercise - for bp: dumbbell bench press, incline db bp, incline bb bp and for ohp: push press, jerks, db mp, seated bb ohp
- Diet - are you eating enough? count your calories and find out.
- Sleeping well?
- Lack of motivation? - are you giving it all in the gym or do you back off because you are afraid that you'll get pinned under the bar during benching?
Just to name a few things.

Thanks, I appreciate it, but I was just kidding. I get enough sleep and I'm finally eating enough and I am motivated even though squats beat the shit out of me and I feel tired when I get to presses. I don't really want to switch to different exercises nor do I want to add anything, really. I'm too much of a beginner to be deloading. That only leaves me with tweaking the rep ranges. I will do some sets with higher rep ranges after I'm done with my 3x5 and see how that goes or I might switch to 5x5 for this exercise.
I'll give myself another 2 weeks and if it still doesn't move up then I'll take some more serious measures.

Switch the order. Doing Bench first isn't going to fatigue you for squats like doing squats first is going to drain your very soul before you even get to bench. As long as you don't stop seeing the squat as a major goal in the process of doing so, there's really not much downside.
Greyskull LP actually recommends doing it that way.

Roar!
I recently switched to high-bar squats. I'm nearly where I left off with my low-bars. 115kg x3x5 squats 155x5 deadlift 70kg x3x5 bench. 50kg 3x5 OHP.
85kg bodyweight

So this isn't really a workout progress post or anything, but I managed to get top 3 in my gym class for the pull ups fitness test. Improved by like 4 pull ups from my last try in single set max, and made it to 13.
Obviously I can still improve, but still pretty happy with my improvement thus far. Hoping to be able to do a pull up + 70 lbs by the end of the summer.
Edit: I might as well mention that I'm at around 64.5-65kg bw.

@phyre I won't be on this routine for all eternity. I mean it pretty much is Starting Strength and we all know rippetoe loves squats and tbh I get a hard on thinking about heavy squats and big legs (we all do, right?).
I think 2 or 3 more months on this routine before I switch to something else. The ultimate goal would be a 140kg squat by that time - so I'd achieve a ~2bw squat within a year - but I doubt I'll be able to make it (wasted too much time), we'll see.
After that I'm not sure what I want to do. I heard madcow is a good intermediate routine, but I haven't looked into it really. I'll def shift the focus a bit toward upper body in the future.

18 reps on bw in bench yesterday, i think i could do over 20 on a good day though! still 8 more reps than last summer

fs - 50 70 100 120 140 150 160 165 170 175x then triples at 140 145 150 155 sn - 50 70 90 90 100 105 110 115 120x 120x 120x 120 cj - 50 70 90 100 110 120 130 140 150x 150.
Little disappointed in my FS, was hoping at least 180. snatch was a little low but all the reps i made were good form. Same with cj.
