Squatted 277.5lbx1x5 today and benched 210lbx1x5. Felt super easy. I think I can still hit my goal of 300x1x5 and 225x1x5 by year's end.

I just started using a belt so I expect my back squat to go up accordingly (265/300 without belt).
I'll get back into oly lifting as soon as my wrist and back are fixed both annoying injuries that aggravate easily. Gonna see a professional once I settle down a bit.

Also got 100th percentile nationally on my Chemistry exam today so I'm feeling damn good :D 1 final left and I can go hoooooome

Today:
Squat 1x3 60, 95, 115, 1x2 135, 1x1 155, 175, 1x1F 192.5kg - Awful. I knew the 192.5kg wouldn't go up because the 175kg felt heavy as shit, but I decided to try anyway.
BP 1x3 50, 65, 80, 1x2 90, 1-1-2 100kg, 1x4 90kg, 1x8 80kg - didn't have a spotter for the first 2 heavy sets and the bar felt heavy and "unstable".
Chin ups 3x3 +35kg
L-Pull ups 2x5
Dips 1x1F 29kg, 2-3-3 +24kg, 1x8 +5kg - My arms just went "NOPE!" on the 29kg and I could barely get back up with the 24kg as well.

My traps felt sore as fuck the whole workout, which means the power-shrugs are working I guess. Next week will be a deload week for all the lifts (except maybe the press and shrugs). I'll possibly continue with the deload afterwards, depending on how I feel.

I often feel when I'm doing max effort squats that confidence is a huge issue, just like when deadlifting.

If you haven't made the lift in your head beforehand you sure as hell aren't when you get under the bar.

Being scared of it is a whole other matter though, I embrace it and feel the adrenaline start to flow.

Oh that definitely wasn't my problem. I'm very good at psycing my self up for a big lift. I was literally shaking with adrwnalin going in.

Today's workout:

BP: 70kg x 9
Inc. DB BP: 26kg x 7-7-7
Pressdowns: 35kg x 8-8-10

Bench was the same as the last time I did it but this time I felt good but on the 10th rep I lost tension in my upper back and my right arm just went straight out the groove and that was all for that set

Totally bombed my organic chem final yesterday T_T. I think I got all the synthesis problems, but the mechanism problems screwed me over, and I couldn't keep the chirality of the "draw this/name this" section straight. I totally missed studying the section on ketones/aldehydes so I was only prepared to do dienes and arenes. Plus the second hardest final of my colege career falling on my birthday with another exam and a paper.

Haven't been to the gym for almost 2 weeks because finals. Finally taking my last exam today. After that, I'm finally hitting the gym (got my new routine finally planned and my SI is feeling good) and then celebrating my birthday, a full 24 hours late. Whooooo!

I've gained a few kilos when I took a vacation to china to see my family, but other than that, 'bulking' in Japan generally means eat as much as possible so that I don't drop beneath 75kg.
