Awesome. Off to get shitfaced. Why do you clean and jerk so little in relation to your back squat? I clean and jerk the same as you but my back squat max is 40kg less than yours. Technique? Low bar? Just wondering Dunno, I recently read an article by Glen Pendaly about how to program your Oly Lifts. I'm taking it easy, doings reps, working on technique and assistance exercises on the week, and hitting it hard on fridays. About my squat, I really don't know haha. this video shows pretty much where I locate the bar when I lift. I think it's high bar, and it's ATG. Dunno what you can get from taht. Video is pretty old too (from July).

Squat 1x3 50, 92.5, 112.5, 132.5, 2x2 152.5, 1x1 165, 172.5kg - I left my belt and lifting shoes at my Uni gym, so I had to workout with normal chucks and no belt. The 172.5 felt a bit easier than the 185 felt, which tells me that my squat is either way stronger with a flat heel, or my belt hardly helps me. I'm pretty sure it's the former. Bench 1x3 45, 55, 72.5, 2x3 92.5, 1x3 80kg

Squat 1x3 70, 95, 115, 135, 1x1 155, 175, 1x1F 190kg Press 1x3 40, 50, 3x3 60kg Shrugs 1x3 60, 110, 140, 160, 2x3 180kg Met a guy who had a single prong inzer belt, so I decided to try the 190kg after all. Belt ended up being too big for me, but I felt like I was pretty close. Should be a definite PR next week when I can train with my own gear at my usual gym. The press wasn't too hard, decided to take it a bit easier because of the belt issue.

I feel like I need a lot of volume to improve a lot of my lifts (bench, OHP, and now squats have all improved a lot with high volume training). Gonna have to devise a new training plan for the new year.

Snatch (for fun): A bunch of barbell only, work up to singles and doubles with 40kg Easy single on BP :D, kinda surprised. Not sure if its some tweaks on my diet, the nap I took or some mental cues I picked up. Prolly all of the above. Gonna try a bit more tomorrow. Powerlifting nationals are next week, cant wait :D I think I found out why shoulders always hurt on snatches. I was pulling too hard with not enough weight. Today I worked on using as less drive as needed and felt quite comfortable. Can't wait to give it a try to snatches up to a decent level, 70-80kg.

Would be interesting to watch. Ya there should be a stream, I'll post it if I'm aware of it beforehand. WTF why isn't anyone posting anymore. Also I'm very confused from this separation with the TL H & F thread, it sucks to check both threads continously. I honestly think we should just be 1 big forum again. If we have subforums for every type of training, the other thread would be empty. PR SQUAT EDIT: I think the TL H & F thread is to motivate people and bring the community together. If we start making separates thread for anything, community splits. Also, I think watching vids and discussion of others members is cool as hell and quite inspiring. I was already hooked up on powerlifting before visiting here, but I would have never given oly lifting a shot have I not seen it here (I will, after powerlifting nationals). For newcomers, I think watching top lifter members, fellow geeks moving huge numbers and discussing stuff is the best way to get motivated. Also, they get exposed to all kinds of lifting and excercise (though I recognize videos of long distance running are non existant) Not to mention I'm sometimes confused about where to post, and its a pain in the ass to check both threads.

Also, they get exposed to all kinds of lifting and excercise (though I recognize videos of long distance running are non existant) Not to mention I'm sometimes confused about where to post, and its a pain in the ass to check both threads. As far as people not posting, it's a holiday for everyone in America so that probably has something to do with it. Forum staff who were instrumental in us moving from the "big thread" to the subforum were concerned that the main thread was turning into too much of a "today I lifted X, Y, and Z" - there wasn't much discussion and it wasn't very welcoming to new posters as it was just a wall of numbers. The original plan when the subforum opened, was to phase out the main thread as more people took it on themselves to make threads discussing specific interests. That's why this thread was started. This thread is supposed to be "I have goal A, B, and C for (date) and I am starting at D, E, and F" as well as "Today at the Gym I did X, Y, and Z" and comments directly focused on what other posters have lifted. posts like "here is a video of a PR I hit" can either go in the leaderboard thread, this thread, the oly thread if it's an oly lift, or possibly even the main thread. If we only had the one thread, I never would have started paying attention to the running guys, and I wouldn't have picked that back up even though I used to run in highschool. I think it's rather a product of the main thread infringing on too many of the sub threads that makes things feel fragmented and confusing than it is "we should go back to one big thread". Plus it was annoying as hell to flip through seven or eight pages if I was away from TL for a day before we had this subforum.

I remember the original reason, but subforums are really confusing. We have a powerlifting forum (not used at all), a oly lifting forum (seldomly used) and a weightlifting forum, plus de TL H & F thread. We might as well make a squat subforum :p As I remember the original thread wasn't I Lifted XYZ at all. Sure some posts where kinda like that, but always included some random description at least.
