Deadlift day again

3x170 kg
3x3 140 speed deadlift
2x5 140 stiff-leg deadlift
2x5 110 shrugs
2x5 100 bent over rows
2x5 60 good mornings
2x5 +45 chinups

First time training since competition (did a 5k run Monday, but that doesn't count), everything felt nice and easy

Had a really bad day at the gym today. Am doing the 531 program and this week is heavy deadlifts. Last time I was doing heavy deadlifts i managed 7 repetitions on 140kg but today I only managed to do 1 repetition opn 145kg. It was mainly my grip that gave out but the weight also seemed too heavy for me to manage the 6 reps i was aiming for.

I know that I am eating alot because I keep gaining weight so I'm thinking it has to do with diverging from my regular routine I've been doing the last 6 months and adding in an extra upper back day each week. The next cycle I'm thinking of doing the tried and true "big but boring 531" routine.

Now I'm gonna be pissed at myself till I hit a new pr on deads.
Winners train. Loosers complain.

50kg, 80kg, 100kg, 110kg, 120kg, 130kg, 140kg, 150kg, 160kg
125kg, 130kg, 135kg, 140kg, 145kg x 3
100kg x 2 x 5 (super fast, I almost fainted in the first set lol).

ChinUps: 10-10-8 (pr?)

C&J: 60kg x 2 x 2, 70kg x 2, 80kg x 1, then another 60kg x 2 x 2

Deeps? I don't even know the name of this exercise but I did 12-12-12 ;D

That and drinking 5 days straight, Your liver almost shutting down, bleeding from your nose, etc. That shit makes a good day of lifting feel like you've conquered the olympus itself. (olympus is also the name of my gym loloawloalwl).

good times, gotta get back on track, to good eating, good sleeping and good lifting. Can't stand this life style much more, I'm gonna die. :p.

Hmm

it's weird you're around 75kg BW right? I'm also at the same BW and well I don't feel like using a belt most of the time, It might be because I'm pretty confident about my technique and If I fuck up a certain weight, I always go back and do it again, it's one of those things. Personal preference, Kudos to you for pulling through that 150kg x 1.

On the way down it felt shaky as hell, and in the hole you got out fine, but somewhere along the line you freaked out and well, you pulled the bar with your chest. .

I'm sure you will get it next time, just get at it and go fucking batshit. ALways work.

Don't forget to yell TL HEALTH AND FUCKING FITNESS. (Worked for me yesterday in my 80kg jerk).

it's actually kinda funny

i thought 140 kg was 150 for some odd reason, and i was like FUCK YEA that was super duper

then I realized it was only 140, and was like FUUUUUUUUUUUUUU, but of course had to do 150 because that was what i set out to do

didn't have nearly enough confidence going down or going up, but will definitely get it next time :D

I'm just glad I pulled through, despite the shitty shitty form (which is really a shame).

Squat 1x3 82.5, 105, 1x1 125, 145, 1-2-1-1 165kg PR - It's a rep PR for the double and a volume PR in general.
BP 1x3 55, 65, 75, 1x1 90, 4x1 105kg PR
Pullups 3x5 +10kg - pullups are apparently ok with my wrist, chin ups are a big no no still.

Wasn't feeling very well for the entire workout, might be coming down with something :\

I didn't lift for 3 months (been cycling the whole time), and I've regressed pretty majorly hahaha.

Gonna be focusing on oly lifting for a change

Honestly no goals for the time being since I suck too much overall, we'll see where I stand in a month, at which point I can hopefully set some goals.

Well I haven't been here in a while but it's nice to be back in TLHF
