LOL Contract
Sky Sports News @SkySportsNews Manchester United confirm David Moyes will succeed Sir Alex Ferguson as manager. Moyes will join United on July 1 on a six-year deal. More now on #ssn
Sky Sports News @SkySportsNews Sir Alex Ferguson: "When we discussed the candidates that we felt had the right attributes we unanimously agreed on David Moyes."
David Moyes on Joining Manchester United
It's a great honour to be asked to be the next manager of Manchester United. I am delighted that Sir Alex saw fit to recommend me for the job. I have great respect for everything he has done and for the football club. I know how hard it will be to follow the best manager ever, but the opportunity to manage Manchester United isn't something that comes around very often and I'm really looking forward to taking up the post next season.

I think it's a good choice, SAF was nearly fired in his earlier years so Moyes should be given enough time as well.
|
so we're basically getting more of the same of SAF in moyes
|
I'd like to see what he does with a bigger kitty. I wonder what will happen to Baines and Fellaini. Would love to see Baines in Chelsea!
Oh, that also means Mourinho would be set for Chelsea ^_^
|
if ManUtd get Fallaini that would be scary o.O
|
I couldn't see anyone but a brit taking over SAF's position so Moyes makes sense. German newspapers have (of course) been rumoring about Klopp or Heynckes coaching ManU, but that wasn't ever realistically going to happen.

So Julian Draxler has signed a two year contract extension through 2018 with Schalke. But the new deal is rumored to have a €40m release clause.
Incoming Goetze 2.0
Also, AZ beat PSV 2-1 in the final of the KNVB Cup, thus qualifying them for the Europa League. Can't wait to see how Adam Maher does in Europe.
|
Adam Maher is going to do well in Europe, but it's not going to be with AZ I feel. Unfortunately I think Ajax are very close to snapping him up once they sell Eriksen in the summer, but I'd love for him to join Feyenoord to form a partnership with Vilhena and Clasie.

Adam Maher is most likely going to transfer to ajax or psv (former more likely)

Well, this will be a very interesting summer.
Is Altidore going to stay at AZ? Has he been as good as his scoring record suggests?
|
Don't think so. He has been great for AZ, but I don't think he can do better than AZ IMO. Which is no shame because AZ are a decent side!

Wait what, a certain tv channel, la sexta, reported that monaco bought falcao for 60m. wat Spanish mates, dis true?

I don't know but Monaco were recently bought by the 19th richest man in the world or something like that, they have Claudio Ranieri as their coach,.... so it could be true. The only thing I don't understand is why Monaco more than a Champions League club, his salary must be pretty damn high

10m per year. So now there are two filthy rich clubs in france? lol

Congrats to Moyes. He's done well in Everton for a decade. Will still be really weird seeing him in United gear. Only Manchester United manager I've ever known is Fergie, as he was their coach for longer than I've been alive. I bet they'll buy Fellaini right away when the window opens.
Who are you guys' favourite to replace Moyes? I can see Martinez or maybe Di Matteo filling the void.

Six years - wow, that's like the longest contract I've seen given to a manager.
Anyway, I think Martinez is going to replace Moyes at Everton considering Wigan are probably going to be relegated. As for the players United will acquire from Everton, Fellaini and Baines for sure.

They're signaling commitment and stability. If he flops he'll be gone before then.
But he's the man now, so best of luck to him!

You must of forgot Newcastle They offered Alan Pardew a 6 year contract at the beginning of this season, and well look how bad that turned out. Again Newcastle find themselves in a relegation fight because of how poor they have been this season. Yes they managed to get to the Europa League quarter finals, but they wont be in Europa any time soon with the way they are playing XD

So... This year we're going to have so many teams changing coach: Bayern, Real Madrid, Man U, Man City (probably?), Chelsea, PSG (probably too)... That's not often we see that many changes in a single summer :o It means we're going to have to redistribute these managers too! Mou (to Chelsea?), Mancini, Benitez, Ancelotti (to Real?). And Heynckes if he doesn't retire...
This morning the french newspapers L'Equipe announced that if Ancelotti leaves, PSG is going to hire another italian coach (Mancini, Capello or Spalletti).
Same thing for the 9s: Falcao, Villa, Ibrahimovic, Higuain, Dzeko, Gomez (?), Lewandowski... + some of the best players in the world like Neymar, Ronaldo, Rooney Huge summer ahead of us :D
