Not to mention what he gets up to with all that money!!

I mean i doubt Chelsea would give him £200,000 a week now with our new wage structure? I can see Man City actually giving him that much, but i don't think Rooney is that stupid to go and sign for them. That leaves what PSG? As i don't think Real Madrid/ Barcelona would swoop for him?

Hes developing a partnership with RVP, he looks to be the happiest hes ever been at our club. Not to mention 20 million would make him cheaper than: Torres, Pastore, Andy Carrol, Lucas, Modric, Silva, Robinho, Hazard, Martinez,Wistel, berbatov, KaKa, Andriy Shevchenko, rio, Veron, wayne rooney 8 years ago. Just to name a few. We even bought young for 18 million, as if we would let rooney go for anything short of 35 is insane, plus hes english, that makes him at least 40 mill, and the shirts he sells. We got RVP for 27, and that only because his club weren't challenging for anything and he wanted to go. I think people forget the 2009-2010 season when some were calling him the 3rd best player in the world, and he had a pretty epic season last season too. Hes on course to break pretty much all the united records, and a lot of the england ones too. PS: look how angry he looks for being left out: ![]()

Sure he has a big salary, but like Udderchaos said he is still a magnificent player that you can build a title winning team around. And a large amount of money United receive needs to immediately go to a successor as well.

(Wilshere ![]() Seriously Wilshere would be like the perfect pickup for United. They don't need a replacement for Rooney at striker/forward. They should overbid by a little for him and send a demoralizing blow to Arsenal fans by getting them to sell him.

Btw: Torres is beyond crap at this point. I always figured he would still be good at a lower level of play, but at this point I'm not even sure about that.

Actually he's got a long term contract that's probably worth too much. Dunno if he's underpaid at Arsenal though with the "socialist system". Looking it up, IMO he is, like 80K per week, very, very valuable contract for Arsenal.

You could buy a 3rd rate striker for a tenth of what Torres is getting paid and he'd perform just as well. His ball handling is horrific, his passing/striking accuracy is laughable, and his speed is cringeworthy. I've seen worse duds in free agent signing in American sports, but God damn Torres gives them a run for their money. He has got to be the biggest waste of money that I've seen in a sport in quite a while. He is literally useless on the field. One ought to be more worried when he gets the ball than hopeful. I dunno between his transfer fee + salary, I think he gives almost any American free agent a run for their money in the worst deal ever category. Chelsea just has ridiculous margin for error in this sort of thing with their resources. I mean almost any other club in the world in any sport would be completely sunk if they made an error the size of Torres. Dude what's up with Inter in red jerseys? What is this?

They keep saying that the stadium is finally paid off, so I don't think Arsenal need to sell players anymore. Though they'd probably sell him if United's offer was too good to refuse, cause it'd be dumb not to accept it. I know Spurs play a high line since Lloris is so fast off his line, but why do they stay so far up the pitch even with Friedel in?

It's crazy that people talk about Torres in this way, a couple of years ago he was one of the best nowadays you can find a player like him in the Eredivisie.
