Lewandowski didn't deserve a goal; the dude did jack shit for the entire game. Schmelzer and Schieber (and maybe Gundogan) were the only two on the team that put any effort into the game, and Schieber played like 10 total minutes.

I know I mentioned a couple weeks ago that Ba and Lukaku (+cheap third striker) would be sufficient, but damn I want this guy to play in the EPL badly so Chelsea sign him! ![]()

It's called "resultadismo" in Spanish. Nobody talks about the 95% of the games Barcelona wins against this kind of strategy... because they win 95% of their games vs significantly worse teams. let's look at their win rate vs chelsea, milan and real madrid over the last 2 seasons? here's my real comment on this whole issue anyway: real madrid is legitimately at the same level as barcelona and they've just been playing _better_ than them their last several matches. like, the teams are equally good, but then real madrid has managed to counter barcelonas style while barcelona hasn't been able to adapt to the tactical changes of real madrid. that's what has happened in the last two seasons. barcelona vs chelsea last year was a fluke and their game vs milan this year was barcelona playing at a much worse level than usual - honestly I'm not confident in milan's ability to advance even with a 2-0 lead because I think barcelona is significantly better. but them being slightly outperformed in the classicos of this and the previous season is because real madrid is just as good as they are just with more diversity. and the reason why barcelona wins 95% of their matches vs inferior la liga teams is that they've perfected their style of play and it always dominates teams that are significantly worse. if you look at the player lineup of barcelona then there's only like what, 2-4 teams in the world with equally good squads. real madrid and bayern munchen are up there, then I guess the two manchester clubs are a little worse. so barcelona _should_ be defeating all those other teams regardless of tactical preferences. and they're doing a great job even if they had two bad games just now, which might be due to tiredness or whatever. there's no clear cut answer to defeating barcelona. but currently, I'd consider real madrid a definite favourite in any head to head match they play, because they have an equally good squad and more diversity with their tactical dispositions.
