She can't. She's just making statements based on your "type" of training. She's basically saying that CrossFit will make you awesome at all those things, while working out for that specific thing will not. ;p?

Today we did exercise testing in my physiology class. compared our scores in muscular strength and endurance to class data collected over the past few years and to national averages.
today i was reminded that having below average stats for this community still makes me a freak to the general population. scored average on everything bench press related. Blew everyone else away except for the scholarship athletes in terms of leg, back, and core strength, power development, or endurance. And we werent sure if there was a lock on the grip strength tool, until it got to me because the first six people to try it couldnt move it.
Feels pretty good to be an average tlhf'er.

Heh, reminds me of the other day at TKD, some people decided to do a few chinups before class, some people can barely do negatives and were complaining, I jumped up and did a set with only my pinky and ring finger on each hand.
But that's the old rock climbing grip right there. The only other people who could do even one of those are the guys who do BJJ too, since that tends to require a solid grip.

So my pullups/chinups have been improving steadily but I just weighed myself after like two weeks and I'm down 5 lb >.<
Haven't stalled yet so we'll see. At least I'll look better for the end of the year progress pics?

@Haji I'd like to get more into cycling and would probably participate in the thread... but it's too cold for cycling 8 months out of the year here =(

Went out yesterday, moderate drinking, fucking holidays gym closes at 2pm.
Fuck that, slept 5 hours, woke up at 10am, drank a liter of coffee, 35 grams of protein and hit the gym.
Squat: (belt + tight knee wraps) 190kgx1, 180kgx3x2, 180x4
Tight knee wraps are so painful its ridic, but I can move so much more weight. 180kgx4 is beastly, I feel I'm good for something in the 210-220 ball park. Next week I'll just jump 10kg instead of 5 as usual, and drop triples to doubles, mostly because knee wraps are painful as fuck. 205x1, 195x2x2 before the week before the meet would be sick.
Cliffs: -You can skip sleep, short term, just be a baller. Matt croc used to scape out of military training at night to lift weights instead of sleeping(so he slept 4 hours at night, trough military training+weight training). Later, retired from duty, he had testicular cancer, but his huge other ball carried him to the gym to squat a week after surgery. His stitched bleeded all over, but his other testicle was too big to care. The important part is tha you don't let yourself believe that because you underselpt u are allowed to suck at the gym.
Also, take naps.

went to the gym in my super mario t-shirt. just to show everyone that nerds can be strong ballers as well
