I found they helped me a lot, I used to put 1.25kg plates under my heels and it was less than ideal. I think you'll like them, I'm in love with mine. | ||

Confirmed Carb Back Loading works like steroids, I've gained 3.5 pounds since monday (Smolov and creatine do help too I guess). Yesterday was really hard: Squat: 140kgx5x7 | ||

To stop the squat from becoming a good morning, I just get my gf to hold on to a pull-up bar while I'm squatting, that way there's never a risk of falling backwards so I can do a normal squat. Also, using the pull-up bar, my gf can squat me (80kg) since I can provide some assistance. All in all, I found it to be a pretty good way to get some exercise done while on holiday. I got back from a week long holiday in the mountains yesterday so I had my first gym session in a while. Deadlifted 160kg x5 (PR) and 140kg x4 (PR), 125k x5, and 110kg x6 (RPT), so I'm damn happy. A few months back when I was still squatting around 100kg, I saw funkie squat 140kg and I thought that was insane. Since then, a three-plate squat has been my goal. Really happy to have finished it now. My technique was OK, but before I go up with the weight any more I need to work on my back again. So for the next few weeks I'm planning to go back to 125kg 3x5 and work my way up to 140kg 3x5. | ||

I think you'll like them, I'm in love with mine. That's good to hear. I tried front squatting with some plates under my heels and I could keep my back completely straight while going atg. Hopefully that means I can front squat again without injuring my back again. | ||

Hit a nice 90 snatch. Very smooth Going up to 94 and missed it behind. Misses 95 forward. Now decaf starts. Opened with 125 but pressed it out and didn't wait for down so he missed it. Still moves to 130 and it was a nice and strong lift. Misses 132. Jon North bombed on snatch. (150x, 153x, 155x) Gets 155 with a joke forth attempt lol (snatches were over). Dimsum starts with 110 on c/j and destroys it. Goes to 115, gets pushed down into a squat jerk and couldn't hold. Misses the clean on second 115. 200kg total. Looks like decaf opened with 146 and made it. Smashed 150. And gets 155. 285kg total. Somebody called decaf a spartan in chat. | ||

e: @above, i thought decaf said he's gonna open with 125? Can you change the #s the day of? Even then, I don't think decaf's gonna open with 110.. | ||
