Gonna turn my elbows out and focus on pulling it without my arms!
And I'm just gonna read the SS portion on power cleans like I should have done from the beginning xD

I mean more from a recovery standpoint. Am I screwing it up? Although I do hate sucking and then saying 'I just worked out guise'. You won't have the greatest long range accuracy after doing a shoulder circuit.

I mean more from a recovery standpoint. Am I screwing it up? Although I do hate sucking and then saying 'I just worked out guise'. You won't have the greatest long range accuracy after doing a shoulder circuit. I play rugby 5 days a week for two hours a night, and lift three or four times a week. The only times it damages my recovery is when I actually injure myself - pull a muscle, fall wrong and wrench my shoulder, etc, or when I take a break from it for a week or two, and then try to jump right back in. Your body is capable of more than you know, so long as you continue to demand the same level from it, you'll get that level. Keep pushing the limits.

Also, pulled 315x3 this morning :D

It's really funny how I used to be intimidated about 'lifting barbells' because the guy next to me was doing three times what I was. Now that that is gone, I realize they're all chill and cool people who are happy to help while they have their rest period going on.

Then again, if more people realized this there would be nothing BUT barbells at the gym ![]() All joking aside though, thinking back, the only reason I ever even used those stupid contraptions, and why I think most people still do, is for two reasons: 1) Most of these contraptions are easy to use, and you don't have to watch out so much for your form, so you can go to a gym, 'work out' and not have to bother doing research. 2) Like I said, it may feel intimidating to use the barbells. It's probably both being embarassed for no reason at all for lifting light weights, and for not knowing proper form. However, once I did studying on form and I realized that I'm working out for MYSELF, not for my friends, not for chicks, and definately not for the dude working out next to me. Once I had goals, I completely stopped caring about others, I just do whatever I can to get good results, and in the end that is much sexier than doing crappy squats, using weird contraptions which I have idea how they help me, or some other crap.

Totally agree. It's still a little awkward when I'm trying to do something new (power cleans) but I just don't care anymore because I know it's worth it. Unfortunately I don't see any bigger dudes in my gym when I go, and if I do they're just curling etc. ![]()

He kept pulling the bar halfway up because he thought I wasn't going to get it..... I had to stop on the third rep and tell him to stop, then failed last rep because I was so out of it from being frustrated at him. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. I too need good training partners... Well, since I didn't do any Squat in like 2 years, I did an easy heavy effort that was actually skill work. Worked to up 315lbs without much problem. I have a hard time getting into the groove and I overly think I fall forward. But since I don't have partners , I can't be certain of my assumptions. Still, technique-wise, there's plenty of work to do. That is why I will do 10 singles with 100kg before every training from now on. Today: Broad jumps : 6x1 Back Squat: shitload of singles from 225lbs to 315lbs Dimmel deadlift: 275lbsx20,20,20, 15 Band hip abduction: 4x15 Calf work: on the machine 4x Reverse hypers: 45lbs 3x10 Standing ab wheel: 3x10
