5 hours of sleep.

Awwhhhh noooooo...

Did my warmup squats today and felt that I have some energy in me to do normal workout but it turned pretty bad when I needed to stand 2-3 sec after each rep. After racking the bar I noticed that I added 5kg instead of 2.5, fml.

EDIT: allnighter -> 10hours -> 3 hours -> 5 hours - these are my last 4 nights. Just so much random X things to do in school + I have to wake up 7am all the time but that's not my normal waking time so even if I go to bed at midnight - 1am then I still fall to sleep 3-4am.

Only got 9 hours of sleep over the last two nights. Been constantly really tired and was absolutely drained when I had to workout today. My right knee felt unstable as hell (never had a feeling like this), most likely because we had to kneel for a long time on hard surface yesterday at P.E.. Couldn't even finish my last warmup set, after a couple of tries I decided to do heavy squats tomorrow instead.

Was supposed to do OHP too, normally I do 53kg for 3x5, couldn't even press 53 for 3 if I were to save my life.

Worked a lot on my clean form instead, been having a hard time with my the second pull (hit my nuts half the time and the kneecap often)

Wish I would had found this sub-forum back when I weighed 282lbs and didn't diet like a retard losing all my bmi. Before I started here I knew only what i was told from random people who were skinny and do the full arm swing curls

Hi guys!

I just started Insanity workout, just finished my 4th consecutive day! Stopped smoking on last March/April, and now really pumped to get back in shape! Im 73 lbs, 1.82 meters tall. Wanna get some fat off and get some muscles and cardio on! I'll probably post some pics soon. Also doing some soccer once a week and drumming twice a week.

Quick question for Decaf/DimSum regarding ATG squats: Do you keep tension on your legs? The Pat Mendez squat videos on youtube make it seem like he completely loses tension the last bit. Recommended, or go down fast-ish with tension? Or even slowly down?

I have pretty much always read to point toes outwards, but the mobility WODs are telling differently - that toes should point forward (thus knees no longer tracking over the foot).

I'm neither of those guys but afaik losing tension is very very bad. bouncing is ok but losing tension is not

I think its a personal thing - some people prefer to squat with toes pointed pretty far out (watch some powerlifting guys squat), some dont. rippetoe says point toes outward at about a 30° angle. I think if your feet are pointing forward, you need more flexibility to go all the way down. plus, your belly gets in the way.
bottom line: as long as your knees track over your feet, youre alright.

holy shit my workout was unreal today. squatted 132.5kg 3x5 and every rep was a fight for life and death between me, gravity and the bar - and I emerged victorious! now I can enjoy the weekend before I start coan/phillipi next monday, which is going to be awesome as well!

And strong squat! Good luck on the coan program, could you post a link on the routine? I have heard about it and I am interested (not that I am anywhere near advanced, but readingstuff is always good)

I had a friend over to workout with me, I workout at home, and he was complaining about how tall the bar was. Turns out my biggest plates have a 360mm! So I have been deadlifting, cleaning and from a 45mm deficit! Got my wondering how my deadlift actually is, my mainproblem has always been getting the weight off the ground. I don't know if I should keep training from the deficit or buy some plywood to put under.
