i didn't add much strength for a LONG time til i started prioritizing it. added squats to the beginning of every workout helped a lot, just prioritize where you feel you're weakest.

No. He used to compete in powerlifting. Iirc he was pretty bad at squats and deads, but pretty good at bench.
besides him being a "personality" I doubt it would be worth it to watch vids of him doing C&J/snatch - kinda like that EG bench press video where they have anna doing a lift at the end. It's just for giggles.

Yeah he just powerlifted for a while, iirc when i asked him about it a few years ago, i think his deadlift/squat were around his bench (still very impressive at 4-500 pounds)

I'm the other way around completely. My clean is superb. up to 110kg, my jerk is lol..I'm a bitch. Seems like its actually pretty common for girl lifters to jerk up to 10% more than they can clean. I can't explain it either.

On topic with the thread: finally done rehab! woohooo~ 4 weeks of not being able to squat heavy and only power variations of the O-lifts has left my lower body so weak. Although, I have a surprise coming for tomorrow =3

Blah the American open is in California this year -.- need to find a competition to qualify and convince my parents to finance my trip! Lol. Should be able to hit the 277kg qualifying total though, just need to drop a couple kills and hit an easy 125/152

So I (thought) I'd increased my snatch by 5kg, was doing it at 60kg today and was fine.
Then somebody recorded me on their phone though and it's the shittest thing I've ever seen, pretty funny to watch. I thought I was catching the snatch lowish then squatting up, but I'm catching it at like a 1/4 - 1/8 squat and pressing it up with my arms, then just locking my knees after my arms have locked out.
