You wont gain muscle while eating on a caloric deficit. (Unless you are on roids)

There are vegan protein powders you can look into in order to get enough protein. In order to gain weight and muscle, you need to eat at a caloric surplus. There are no such thing as hard gainers, only people who don't eat enough.

This, hard gainers is just a myth; there is people who eat more and people who eat less. You can have a balanced vegan diet, just need to educate yourself more. And avoid soy like the plague.

I always mix up vegan types, can you eat milk/cheese and derivatives? (such as most protein poweders)

No I don't eat any products that come from an animal. So no cheese or milk or eggs or anything with those in them.

I eat tons of vegetables and tofu and lots of beans and rice consequently have really low body fat. I am wondering if I can atleast get a good six pack and sorta really toned muscles if not big. Maybe like Hopsin's body type.

Don't know much about vegan diets, in your shoes I'd try to eat more beans and nuts to get a better protein ratio (ideally 30-50% of your calories should be protein) (I'd do some googling to find the nuts with higher protein to start).

Also, don't think about what you can or can't. Just lift weights, get stronger and eat more. Lifting weights and nutrition is mostly a trial an error endeavour. (getting skinny is not really that hard, looking like that is doable for anyone)

I have no idea why you would like to look like that, I'd rather have 15% body fat than girl arms.

There are vegan protein powders, I know rice protein powders exist and I'm sure there's more I just haven't looked into it. There exists vegan athletes, so while it may not be optimal to be vegan trying to gain muscle mass it's still possible.

What's the best way to go about losing fat and gaining muscle simultaneously. I've started to work out again, currently 180 lbs at 5'7" which is a bmi of 28.2. I'm aiming to lose fat but also gain muscle in these first few weeks. Should I be starting out on a calorie deficit meal plan to lose weight, eat my TDEE exactly to maintain, or even try bulking (probably not but i'm no expert). My TDEE based off of 5 workouts a week is 2600 calories. I was planning on using an 1800 calorie diet and follow that for a couple weeks then proceed from there. Thoughts?

Eat around maintenance and keep track and see what's working for you. Mirror will be your best tool here, not so much weight. Or you could drop your workouts to 3-4x a week and eat surplus on training days and deficit on rest days.

Do lots of full body compound exercises. Squats and deadlifts are great for building muscle and lowering your bf%

Alright, right now I'm eating about 1700 calories a day, with 2600 being my TDEE. I was planning on just keeping under the TDEE in order to lose weight thanks to the exercise and calorie deficiency and hopefully my body will use all the fat fuel and put that into muscle while I slim down to a healthier body fat percentage.

I'm going to list what my workout routine if any one would like to comment on it.

Push (Chest/Triceps/Shoulders):

Flat Dumbbell Bench Press 3x7 30
Overhead Press: 3x6 30
Incline Dumbbell Bench Press: 3x6 30
Dumbbell Side Lateral Raise: 3x16 10
Lateral raise machine 3x10 45 stall
Skullcrushers 3x8 30
Rope Pushdowns 3x12 5 (not sure of the weight, it's not marked but the 5 means five pegs down)
Shrugs 3x12 40

Pull (Back/Biceps):

Dumbbell Rows: 3x10 35
Deadlifts 3x5 280
Lat Pulldowns 3x10 70
Seated Rows 3x8 3 (again, pegs not weight)
Face-pulls:
Rev cable 3x12 3 (pegs)
Rev pec deck 3x10 45
Barbell Bicep curl 4x10 30
Hammer Curls 3x10 10

Legs (Quad/Ham/Calves):

Barbell Squats: 3x5 180
Leg press 3x10 200
Leg Extensions 3x10 45
Hamstring Curls 3x12 115
Seated Calf Raises 5x12 170
Abs 3x12 10
Leg raise 3x10

I do this on a 4 day rotation with a rest day the fifth day and whenever sunday comes around. any suggestions are welcome

Waaaaay too much volume for being on such a calorie deficit. No way you're going to be able to progress your compounds like that, and with numbers like what you posted progressing your compounds should be priority #1.

okay so i basically know nothing about fitness, but i have been exercising quite a bit lately to get into shape.
I have some questions, so atm ive just been doing the excersies that seem pretty normal, running, situps, push ups and leg ups thats basically all i know lol. Ive been running quite alot and although in my legs while i can feel less fat and more muscle the like circumference of my like shins and thighs havnt really changed...which is quite disappointing to me cause i read some where online that long distance running was to help me get thinner thighs and not build muscle as much, and my goal was to slim down, does that come later? i've only been doing it for about 2 and half months, do i just keep going or do i need to change what im doing.

72kg at 176 sounds like a healthy weight in every positive sense of the word. If you are dead set on losing weight, you have to adjust your diet. That is 90% of the way, your running 10%.

8 field track laps would be 3.2km. Even if your park is bigger, that is really not much, and certainly not "long distance running". A daily jog of < 5km is really not going to do much in terms of body re-composition.

I guess you should clarify what you are trying to achieve? Is it really about weight? Do you want to look better? "Getting into shape" can mean all kinds of things. But if you really want nothing but get skinnier without gaining any muscle it's extremely simple: Eat less.

i kinda want to just be skinnier but fitter as well, prominent abs ofc would be lovely but not the set goal, well see 3.2km jog already gets me super tired and out of breath really badly so im definitely not in fit shape and i would like to improve that.
I kinda just wanna be more skinny at first i kinda wanted to be at around 65kg which i think would be nice??? idk lol i just find myself envying those people in those really slim skinny jeans, also i kinda wanna look good naked or at least go to the beach and be proud of my body?
I've been eating pretty healthy? i eat about even amounts of vegetables and (less so)fruits and ofc meat :D but all in moderation, i havnt done any diets or counting calories cause i kinda wanna have it be a long term so i wanna like go out with friends eat w/e and not really worry, because i know i have stable diet and a one off thing isnt so bad.

See, what you want is all over the place. Keep your current diet, lose 20 pounds, look good naked, be fit to run, wear skinny jeans. It's not going to happen that way.

- If you want to look good naked, there is no way around building muscle. They are what makes you look good. Hit the weights.
- If you want to drop weight, there is no way around reducing calorie intake. You can eat the same diet, just less of it.
- If you want to be fitter as in fit to run, keep running. But don't do the same 8 laps everyday, look to constantly improve. There is a runner's thread in this forum.

Now it's not impossible to pursue all these goals at the same time, but people here will tell you that you are going to have no fun. In any case, you will need a sensible program for each of these goals.

Personally, I would question your idea of becoming skinny as fuck. I was once 65kg at 175 and I felt awful. I am now 74kg and feel it's a great weight for my frame. But, that's up to you.

well i actually dont know how skinny me at 65kg would be like, lol i dont want to be like a stickman i would probably stop at a weight where i was like hmm this seems nice. Building muscle im not really against it i was just wondering if my thighs would slim down cause its feel the around the same size as when it was kinda fatty and i could like pinch the fat atm now i can barely pinch any of it and if i tense up its really hard but it didnt get any slimmer which was what i wanted (theres probaby excess fat still there to burn) i would probably just work on the goals one at a time, the looking good naked isnt really a top thing but u know if i could have it for like free why not lol.
So as ur saying atm i just have to eat less? probably still regularly excerises, i do try and slowly increase my exercising, i go by slow numbers when i feel like i can push on. when i first started running i could only do 2 laps, walk one to catch my breath and then 2 again, i feel pretty proud on 8 XD even tho it probably sucks.

overall i just wanna slim down on my thighs and get rid of some of that belly fat, i can feel my abs when i press them but at the lower part of my stomach its like chubby and

See if you say your legs become more muscular and you can't pinch the fat out of them anymore, what's wrong with that? Unless you are a female underwear model you really shouldn't be overly concerned about having thighs too large.

Like I said, if you want to get rid of extra fat and drop weight, adjust your diet (90%) and keep up/improve on the running (10%). So yes, eating less and exercising more will definitely work towards that goal.
