Assuming I'm already deadlifting & squatting Also all these lifts seem like they have the same motion as the squat so would they be ok to do the same day as the squat? Or would I be to worn out from squatting? This is coming from no experience, but I think C&J would be good because you can train to be explosive in your legs and in your upper body with one movement, but doing all of them together (if you can dedicate the time to learn them) will be good in the long run anyway :D:D:D:D:D

Think I'll stick with the bar trying to build flexibility a bit for a week or two before I start adding weight. A problem I'm having though is with my Snatch. Once I get it in the air, I'm having trouble squatting down. Like I straight up don't got the flexibility for going even close to parallel despite doing near ATG back squats, nor the balance when I'm holding the weight like that over my head. Is this a common issue? Haha yea, just keep working on your hip mobility

first of all I sincerely apologies for my poor english ![]() About me: Name: Ilija Age: 23 Height: 183 cm Weight: 89.5 kg Bodyfat ~ 21.5 % So my question is, what is the best possible way for me to burn away dat damn fat?! Well actually the question is, whats the best approach? Lose fat, then start strenght training? Do it simultanously? Im getting confused there guys, please help me! :D I already changed my diet completely, on regular week days i eat 250 g of lowfat quark(with some kiwi/strawberrys), for lunch a salad with chicken and for dinner ~ 300 g meat with vegetables. (its not always the same i change stuff up to not get bored) My workout looks like this at the moment. Day 1: Squats: 3x5 (atm at 56 kg) Bench Press: 3x5 (atm at 61 kg) Chin Ups: (-35 kg of my bodyweight) 1x 8; 1x6; 1x4 (its my maxiumum at the moment) ----1 day rest------- Day 2: Squats: 3x5 Bench Press: 3x5 Deadlift: 1x5 (51kg at, i have some serous problems with the deadlift, I always think something is wrong, thats why i didnt add more weight for now) -----1 day rest ------- Repeat Now here's where I need you'r help guys/girls. Is this really the best possible approach for me? My ultimate long term goal is to lose fat and get a well trained, defined body! I dont want to win a contest in lifting weights. I would really appreciate your help mates! Cheers Ilija

For a general overall benefit to strength from Deads, should I swap this around at all? Am I losing lower body strength by doing deads like this or does it not really matter?

Straight legs just work the hamstrings more, you'll be able to move more weight if you squat down a little over the bar, but it's not a huge deal IMO, just be careful about keeping your back tight when you do deadlifts with stiff legs

I've been on SS for about 3 weeks now (enjoy it a-lot, thx TL/eshlow!) but I can not eat enough or drink enough milk. So far I've tried Optimum Nutrition Serious Mass (high calories, proteins + carbs) and I hate it, I think it makes me feel tired soon after I drink it. Also, the taste, while is something I can bear with, is so "chemical" that it gets me worried. Thinking about trying N-Large 2 next, seems from review it has less fillers etc. Any tips? While I'm at it, should I drink low fat or whole milk? I assumed whole since I need to gain weight but in posts I've read most ppl seem to drink low fat milk

Just always have a glass with you if it's that hard for you. And eat till you're stuffed every meal. Then keep eating. That's about the only way to go about it

To add to response below, Serious Mass has 1250 calories per serving (i split it in two) + calories from milk in the shake bring it to about 1500, gets me a lot closer to my goal but it tastes like it should be horrible for me lol

It could be, won't kill you by any means, but I don't see how whole milk isn't cheaper, but do whatever floats your boat, at the end of the day if you eat pretty well then supplement it's fine, calories are the main thing ![]()

I know it's cheaper, however, my issue is that it is hard for me to drink enough of it, I get filled up fast. But I'll give it another shot. Maybe set a goal for half a gallon and when I reach it try to go up from there.

It's delicious and you can snack on it throughout the day

Maybe set a goal for half a gallon and when I reach it try to go up from there. you can make your own mass gainers if you have a blender. just experiment around a bit with whole milk, honey, avocados, maybe some oats and fruits or even ice cream! add a bit of whey/casein protein and you're good to go also, maybe consider doing some "dirty bulking". that means going to macdonalds and stuffing yourself. it wont be healthy, but it will get you easy calories. edit: and I prefer whole milk over skimmed - even when dieting. the fat is pretty healthy from what i've read and if calories are an issue (which they arent in your case) just drink less of it.

No one can down a gallon in one sitting. I can. I've sat down with a gallon jug of chocolate milk and started playing skyrim, only to realize that I've finished the jug after less than 2 hrs, and now have to piss incredibly badly. I don't recommend doing that.

Let's just say I could still feel the burn the next day lol That was only with 2 liters though. I can't imagine how horrendous of an experience I would have with 4 liters D:

I don't recommend doing that. I would say almost all people would struggle doing a gallon in under an hour (Gallon Challenge). Not saying it's impossible... I've just seen the aftermath and I don't recommend it. Plus you lose all the benefits the milk was giving you for gaining weight... ![]()
