1week ago: Deadlift 207,5kg x 4 1/2 Today: Deadlift 207,5kg x 3 1/2 I am turning into a fucking weakling. After that horrible set I decided that I need to change something. So I did 8setsx3reps speed-deadlifts with 150kg, like in Coan-Philllipi. 2 calluses were torn doing that, but not too much bleeding fortunately. But those sets felt really good and my traps are actually sore now. Since I am never sore anymore, I am calling this progress. Did some Good Mornings and Chin-Ups afterwards, maybe next week I'll go for a real Coan-Philippi workout. And I need to start to take my rest time fucking seriously. God, I am mad.

Age: 28 || Height: 6'1" || Weight: 176 lbs Starting Date: 10/1/11 || Goal Date: 12/31/11 Current lifts: Squat: 270x5 lbs Deadlift: 265x5 Bench: 145x5 Pendlay Rows: 125x4 Shoulder Press: 105x3 Goals: Squat: 315x1 Deadlift: 315x1 I'd love to do a 3 plate squat and deadlift by the end of the year. According to the one-rep max calculator I'm already close, but I feel like the calculator is a little too optimistic. Hopefully I'll be doing sets of 5 at 315, but I'll settle for a 1RM. My squat and deadlift are about the same, but a big reason for that is because I squat first and deadlift when I'm exhausted. The deadlift PR should be pretty easy to hit if I attempt it before squatting. Bench Press: 1RM at bodyweight! My upper body strength is awful but slowly getting better. Bodyweight is a moving target, but it will probably be 185 lbs at the end of the year, possibly 180 or 190. I've been adding about a pound a week, and I'm happy with that steady increase. My 5RM bench has been going up 5 lbs every 2 weeks so I should be able to do 185x1 by the end of the year.

Took me a few tries at first to find out the number of sets/reps I had to start from, but now I'm working my way up quite nicely and have already seen a big increase in both performance and looks. And it doesn't even take a lot of time at all, just about 1 hour and a half every 3 days, without even having to go out because I exercise on a pair or rings in my garage. I wish I had started earlier but frankly I'm even happier that I started at all. :D Btw I ordered and ate a pack from Wild Planet and I must say the taste is really really good. I bought the $45 pack but I just saw a new $24 pack that has everything (tuna/salmon/sardines) so that would be the best one if you want to try without paying too much.

I went and bought some micro plates so hopefully I can make smaller gains on it. Gotta squeeze out the last of those noob gains. I've been at that 100-105lb press range for what feels like forever. I actually just re-read the entire section in Starting Strength on the press to hopefully fix any errors I'm still making.

From what I've seen the best way to get press up much quicker is to increase volume and start pressing 3-4x a week. But you will likely have to get onto a different program to carry that out. While on SS you should be using fractional plates if possible

Haha I thought I was the only one, I am there as well >_> Also does anyone know of any stores in Canada that would sell chalk? I just checked SportCheck and it was a huge store and they didn't have any. I wish walmart would just carry it in their sport section -_-.
