Sup gents and ladies (as if lol). Been meaning to join the discussions in this thread for a while now after lurking, finally got around to it.

For all the knowledgable folk out there, a little question. How much cardio would you guys suggest I do if my main goal is to bulk up, but I'd also like to get a higher definition (especially in the core area)? Currently my cardio consists only of 2 high intensity ~2 hour games of basketball a week, and I'm not sure if that's enough or not, since I want to do enough to decrease body % but nto too much so that it hinders growth (if you catch what I mean lol)

Any help would be appreciated ^^

Todays workout:

Squat: 60kg 5-5-4 (stopped on the bottom since the weight shifted to my toes on the way down )
Bench: 40kg 5-5-5
DL: 65kg 5

Im going away during the weekend wich means i cant workout, should i lift tomorrow instead or wait four days until monday for my next workout?

Squat: 177,5kg 5-5-5
Bench: 75kg 5-5-5
Deadlift: 187,5kg x 5 210kg x 1

Very good workout, every lift made me very happy. 210kg deadlift is 462 pounds. I hereby promise, that as soon as I break 500 I am gonna buy a camera and tape myself, so you can all look forward to see a fat guy lifting.

On another note, today I won a diamond-level tvz for our SC2-team

still cant believe you got 210kg after 5 reps of 187... insane.

I did some snatches today (up to 45kg which was too much. at least I found my limit) and clean pulls with hang cleans (60kg), front squats (90kg) and some push presses at 65kg

Today's swim workout:
200 yards freestyle warmup
(main part of workout) 4x100 yards freestyle on 1:50 (barely managed to make it on the last 2)
8x25 yards freestyle sprint on 1:00 (did each in 15-17 seconds)
100 yards cooldown

my swim goal is to be able to do 5x100 yards freestyle on 1:30. I guess that's achievable about 15-20 swim workouts from now. but things are going well considering I started about 6 swim workouts ago doing 3x100 yards freestyle on 2:00!

I watched snatch- and clean-instructional videos of Glenn Pendlay today and those fired me up. I'm gonna do some short 30 minute workouts (starting tomorrow) in between my normal sessions with only the bar and trying to teach myself a little bit. Did a little bit of overhead-squatting with only the bar today and I miss a lot of flexibility in my shoulders. But looking forward to it.

Didn't watch video (dont have plugin lol) but based on the description, no. You start with the bar racked and legs straight. Then you just split your legs in to the jerk to get under the bar, no knee bend/driving

Siiiiiiick stuff. I'd recon this workout took quite some time. If you want to get that 227,5kg (500lb) deadlift soon just train lightly next week and start the workout with deadlift and work your way up to it. There is no way you are not going to get it done after nailing 210 after all the work you did beforehand. So be ready with that camera.
