Finally get over my skeleton skinny teenage days (already got a head start on that lol). Post before/after pics and get impressed reactions D: Sup gents and ladies (as if lol). Been meaning to join the discussions in this thread for a while now after lurking, finally got around to it. For all the knowledgable folk out there, a little question. How much cardio would you guys suggest I do if my main goal is to bulk up, but I'd also like to get a higher definition (especially in the core area)? Currently my cardio consists only of 2 high intensity ~2 hour games of basketball a week, and I'm not sure if that's enough or not, since I want to do enough to decrease body % but nto too much so that it hinders growth (if you catch what I mean lol) Any help would be appreciated ^^ little to no cardio if you want to bulk.

Decaf, what does his workout program look like? I have read some other stuff of his and he definitely does not like partial movements like high pulls and stuff like that. I'm not entirely sure what his overall scheme is but from sneaking a couple peeks at his log recently he's been doing very close grip snatches w/ 50-60kg and heavy front squat singles (160+) and he's been having his daughter do cj+fs singles up to probably 95% and heavy fs singles. His daughter also showed me stiff legged jerks (these are wtf) to work on foot speed in the jerk and another thing where you do an OHS but stop at the bottom and then jump back and forwards to get a feel for balance for the bar for snatching. Also, pm me link!

Bench: 75kg 5-5-5 Deadlift: 187,5kg x 5 210kg x 1 Very good workout, every lift made me very happy. 210kg deadlift is 462 pounds. I hereby promise, that as soon as I break 500 I am gonna buy a camera and tape myself, so you can all look forward to see a fat guy lifting. On another note, today I won a diamond-level tvz for our SC2-team ![]()

I did some snatches today (up to 45kg which was too much. at least I found my limit) and clean pulls with hang cleans (60kg), front squats (90kg) and some push presses at 65kg

200 yards freestyle warmup (main part of workout) 4x100 yards freestyle on 1:50 (barely managed to make it on the last 2) 8x25 yards freestyle sprint on 1:00 (did each in 15-17 seconds) 100 yards cooldown my swim goal is to be able to do 5x100 yards freestyle on 1:30. I guess that's achievable about 15-20 swim workouts from now. but things are going well considering I started about 6 swim workouts ago doing 3x100 yards freestyle on 2:00!

You start with the bar racked and legs straight. Then you just split your legs in to the jerk to get under the bar, no knee bend/driving

If you want to get that 227,5kg (500lb) deadlift soon just train lightly next week and start the workout with deadlift and work your way up to it. There is no way you are not going to get it done after nailing 210 after all the work you did beforehand. So be ready with that camera. GJ on the league match ^-^ @DimSum: Thanks alot! Was really interesting. Off topic: Just got my final exams results in and I've offically completed my first year of med school :D only 5 to go now lol... edit: @sc4k: Nice shoulders and arms. How on earth are you not able to deadlift 100kg ?
