It has dissipated. Was fairly sharp, but now it's gone >.>
Couldn't advance my Press
Did rows no problem, but press stayed at 40. I am looking at SS wiki, but what exactly should I be doing in this circumstance?

What do these numbers mean? max 1 rep, or something like 3 sets of 5 reps?

I'm not 100% sure that's 3x5, but on a couple forums it's been portrayed as such.
Just ate like a pound of turkey.
Yum.

Edit: after a little internet snooping, I came across this site: http://www.exrx.net/Testing/WeightLifting/StrengthStandards.htm
Which says that that those numbers "represent a 1RM performance" which I think means 1 rep max?
The site was linked from this forum: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=118508651
but yeah, pretty hard to believe they had that much writing explaining the document but didn't bother to say what the numbers meant.

Oh SICK, time to see where I'm at when using estimated 1RM as my current status...
Squat - almost advanced Deadlift - between intermediate and advanced Bench - between intermediate and advanced Press - between novice and intermediate (T___________T)

Awesome.
Time to inform people over at SS forums
|
According to those standards..
Press: Advanced Bench press: Intermediate Squat: Almost intermediate Deadlift: Almost advanced Power Clean: Almost intermediate
I'm all over the place .

(Slightly offtopic, but will use it for my own training so here goes.)

I've seen that before; in fact I use their site's 1RM calculator to see where I would be.
According to the chart I fall under the following (approximate 1RM):
SQUAT - 225lbs - Intermediate BENCH PRESS - 174lbs - Intermediate OVERHEAD PRESS - 115lbs - Intermediate DEADLIFT - 230lbs- Almost Intermediate
Not bad for two months of serious training, I think.

you need a datapoint in the last cell.
I've never tried to max.

Also, an update on my goal. My wedding is now 1 month from today and so far I am down 10lbs while my lifts have remained stable so I am happy with that but not quite as cut as I want to be. Hoping to get my camera back tomorrow so I can take a progress picture and compare to a picture I took at the beginning of my cutting.

Why does my press suck so much T_T

T_T
My bench press and press are terribad. My squat is pretty good along with deadlift.
But makes me sad that at school people always talk about bench. And disregard squat etc
Mine is so low

btw I wouldnt get stuck on those numbers and whether you are "intermediate" or even "advanced". it's good to see where you're at, but most of us are probably still noob, regardless of what this page says (except for people like anabolicqt or decaf!)
