Those 69kg women are beastly, I don't even want to know what the higher weight classes look like. Damn, someday i'll c&j 145 like a boss. I'll be a good bit heavier then 69kg though,probably more like 145 myself lol.

@funkie, i'm 193 cm, and i'd bet rosa's another inch or more taller than me. 195 or 197 cm probably.

Climbed around 150 stairs with a 50 pound backpack. It made my quads burn. I Miss that feeling, such a tease

Just made my first ever meal replacement shake. Just under a quart of chocolate whole milk, ON Vanilla whey, a banana, and some organic peanut butter, for lack of other option. Just threw together what I had that wasn't meat... and the whey belongs to my roommate. While thing comes out to maybe 1200 calories... i'd rather bacon and eggs :/. Or a steak.

Tips for future improvements?

Edit: meant to edit previous post, not quote. That's what I get for posting on a phone on a bus.

I think we're mostly using the same brand, healthy origins from the iherb site. I have 10,000 iu, which is five times the "super strength" that you'll find in most stores, and I take 1 per day, two for two days if I feel a cold coming on. My last cold turned out to actually be steep throat and I beasted through it.

I take 10k because I don't get much sun. If you live somewhere more tropical than upstate new york (ie not canada or russia) you can get away with less.

@rosa Like eshlow and funkie said, don't do any wierd dynamic start since it will just throw off your technique. When pulling off the floor, keep your back tight and push your hips back. The bar is looping around your knees which causes your pull to be messy.

Whoa I missed an entire page of people's comments. I suck so bad.

Eshlow: I wasn't exactly going for a crazy dynamic start lol. I was just hoping to pull the weight decently, but I can't exactly figure that pull out. Also, I also noticed the bent arms... I think all the comments will help.

Funkie: I'm 192cm tall. This is part of the reason why I'm switching into a more Olympic style of lifting: tall guys have great pulls but terrible pushes.

Dimsum: I'll work on that pull. When you say "push your hips back," you mean sort of lean back?

There's just so much to work on in the clean. Insanely tough exercise! x10 respect for O-lifters.

I think I worded it wrong. I meant to keeps the hips and back in a straight position. I think your hips should be a little higher since you are taller.

Here is a good example. Watch position off the floor and when he pulls.

lol guys i'd steer clear of that thread if you dont want to get banned/warned just leave them be, you obviously are not going to change anyone's mind in there

I went in and looked at the sources some guy provided, concluding that every source was trash.

The bad thing is I did a cross examination of the sources within his sources, and found out that every single one fell under one of the following:

1.) Articles with inaccurate information about the roles of carbohydrates and/or saturated fats in our diets.
2.) "Studies" without actual scientific inquiry but pure correlation = causation reasoning.
3.) Dead links.
4.) Biased sources (eg. vegetariansarehealthy.com/meatismurder.com/PETA.com)

Dunno what you'll do today but I'm going to the powerlifting nationals and see some sick stuff going down. I think one guy has a 300kg bench opener...and another one going for a 1100kg ++ total. Going to be awesome.

Hey guys I bought this. Can you suggest me exercises to add to starting strength so I can utilize my homegym fully. Also please put when should i do such exercise if it's together with my bench day or the other day. thanks.

ok here is what will my routine be:

Monday
Squat
Bench
Deadlift/Cleans

Wednesday
Squat
Press(not sure what kind?)
Back Extension(need replacement i dont have back ext machine)
can't do chinups cause no bar.

just these repeating every other day. pls add some exercises i can do with my equipment and suggest some good ones.

also some questions
1)which exercise group(mon or wed) should i add planks to? should i do them every workout?
2)can i do pushups with these workout?> if so, when?
3)i can incline my bench so should i do both incline and flat bench presses? if so, same day? or just one or the other?
