I had all 4 removed, made it to rugby practice 4 hours later (took it very easy), full practice two days later and full game two days after that. Get your ass back in the gym by monday
Snatch workout i got doubles at 205 (this was my max like two weeks ago :D) Then C&J'd up to 265 solid. Teaching a new friend how to snatch and c&j...boy is he gonna be sore. Three kids sitting on the machines doing approximately nothing while one taught the other how to do mad curlz for 2.5 hours angered me T_T Let my ego get the best of me and picked up 135 and curled it after a full workout lolz. Also my vertical rise has gone up 1.5 inches since i started olympic lifting, i hit 10'6 on the tape measure thing in the bball gym. Dunk soon? :D
Dimsum...more workouts and vids plz thanks. i must learn from the masta

Do 10km, even 5km running events for lulz. Maintain a running schedule. Learn more. Bench 150x5 lbs, Squat 240x5 lbs, Deadlift 280x5 lbs

I'd sure love to find a group of us and create a Nike+ group to compare and log some good kilometres with this summer. Maybe even starting our own running fitness thread if there's enough out there. Updates will come more frequent when spring starts! For now, it's gym, sports, and staying fit. PM me, and we'll keep in touch!
I know there were a few long distance runners for marathons/cross country in the last thread, i'm sure theyre hiding somewhere.

Downloaded "myfitnesspal" for my android to help me keep track of calories. I know I don't eat enough to be gaining weight, but just having this app for two days showed me that WOW I AM BEHIND, on the average order of 700 - 1000 calories per day (for my goal weight of 190). Going to have to be a part of the next shopping trip while I'm here at home, since most of the food in the house is not exactly healthy, and certainly going to have to focus on eating MORE when I get back to school.

I still don't have any signs of wisdom teeth coming in, and I'm 20. My mother doesn't actually even have them, so maybe I'm lucky and I don't either.
Also, dunking a basketball is as much about your hands as it is about your jump. If you can palm a ball, you'll be dunking in another inch or so. If you've got to do it with two hands, you have some work to do =p. I could dunk in highschool for a bit, until my knee actually started to get bad. Now with regular squats and deads, I'm progressing back towards being able to again.
Let's race.

Jonathan Age: 19 || Height: 6'0" || Weight: 167lbs Starting Date: 01/05/2011 || Goal Date: 06/10/2011 (When school gets out for the Summer) Weight goals -- I'm at a healthy body weight, but could probably stand to lose a bit of body fat (unsure of my percentage.) Mainly I'd like to add some muscle because though I'm not a stick, I'm pretty skinny. Training goals -- I don't care a ton about increasing my lifts, but I figure that is necessary and will bring about muscle growth. My max's right now are roughly:
175lb Bench 240lb Squat Haven't been doing power clean/push jerk regularly. And finally deadlift... The lift I hate. I read about how it's so good for building muscle but I always hurt my back when I do it. I really guess I need to just go lighter on it and work on my form. A physical trainer friend told me it might be a problem with my hamstrings not being flexible enough to do the lift properly. Nutrition goals -- Living in a dorm unfortunately, so I mainly eat dorm food. I try to eat healthy though I'm sure the meat I eat is the bad kind or w/e. Misc goals -- Nothing much, right now I'd like to find a new workout weekly regimen because a few weeks ago I tried a new program after doing the same thing for ~6 months but I don't like it.
tldr: Any good suggestions for an intermediate lifter routine? I love bench and squat, and will try and force myself to become a better deadlifter.

Haha phyre i have the biggest hands of ANYONE (save my dad) i've ever met. Been palming basketballs since i was like 14 ^_^
Jonoman, hit up starting strength. and DEADLIFT. Flat back, drive your hips. take a vid of your form and we can help you out. Ripping a shit ton of weight off the ground becomes fun once you get the form down.
P.S. Eshlow where are your goals?? You're not perfect!(yet)

ha I feel weird doing starting strength since I have been lifting on and off for years (I know this sounds so bad!) for a while. But basics can never be that bad I suppose.
I'd like to take a video of myself deadlifting but I don't know how easy that'd be to do. I guess I could ask a friend to come with me and video tape but that seems kinda weird heh.

I read this as "i feel weird doing awesome lifts to get more awesome" :-p While you may not be a "beginner" You still have room to grow through the program i think. If not you can just switch to madcows 5x5 or something. And for video camera, just prop up your phone or digital camera on a bench or weight or something.

I feel really good now. The portion of my molars that are connected to my jaw have some discomfort but i feel fine otherwise. when the woke me up my grandma said i would stop saying fuck to people lol. but im gonna go to wrestling practice in the morning. maybe just wrestle some of the jv kids. then i have a girls tournament to coach on friday and a jv on saturday.
Edit: decaf did the back of your throat feel like you were getting over strep or something? because mine feels sore whenever i drink water. my grandma told me that when they woke me i kept trying to stand up and was saying "I just want to do some fucking squats, I'm not going to put 500 fucking pounds on my back, just normal bodyweight squats" wtf is wrong with me lol

Mad bragging AHEAD
on my gym I have made a couple of friends, among them there's this little girl. We always kid around and shit. I made her mad and she punched me in the leg. When she did this, she gave me this "WTF" look. She punched me Again. Then Proceeded to ask: "Raul, why are you so hard?" and im like "dunno. I workout?" she Then examined my body for soft places. She found none. NOW she tells every girl to "feel how hard I am".
SUCC-motherfucking-ESS!
Brag DONE

Real test for me starts on Sunday, I fly out for work for two weeks. Rules for travel are all expenses paid, regardless of whether it's a bottle of moet or a $100 steak. I really won't have time to prepare food or go shopping so my goal for most of the two weeks, with exception of perhaps the weekends is to pick the healthiest thing off the menu and don't drink, at all..

I lol'd, but then I facepalmed at some of the responses from Planet Fitness supporters.
"my back hurts looking at that." -- Planet Fitness supporter in response to a video of Ronnie Coleman deadlifting.
Yeah, this picture sums up everything we need to know about Planet Fitness:
![[image loading]](http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc1/hs225.snc1/7221_132373409855_131305029855_2597984_1353870_n.jpg)
Essentially, Planet Fitness fancies itself a "judgment-free zone." However, if you are a large, muscular man, you are a "lunkhead," which is defined as "a dull or stupid person; blockhead." They are seemingly oblivious to the fact that they judge an entire population of people and perpetuate an offensive stereotype in doing so, completely contradicting their gym's original purpose. At Planet Fitness, if you train hard, abide by a strict diet and well thought-out plan, and see gains as a result, you are an idiot.
Right.
Also, watch the videos on the left side. Judgment-free zone my ass.
