On April 21st at Red Bull headquarters in Santa Monica, teams from Amazon, IBM, EA, and Epic will compete for $10,000 in the After Hours Gaming League Season 2 Grand Finals!
The AHGL is a corporate league where normal nerds from major companies battle for fun and charity! Instead of having players from top professional teams, the AHGL consists of players from the following 30+ major companies: AMD, Adobe, Amazon, Digital Extremes, Dropbox, EA, Epic, Ernst & Young, Facebook, FactSet, Gearbox, Geek Squad, Google, IBM, Intel, Legend3D, LinkedIn, Microsoft, Mozilla, NVIDIA, Palantir, Pipeworks, Promethean World, Qualcomm, RapidShare, Shopify, TwitchTV, Twitter, Western Digital, Zappos, and Zynga. Phew. Quite the list eh? :D
In AHGL Season 2, there are two divisions: Starcraft 2 and League of Legends. In each game, teams are duking it out for the chance to donate $5000 to the charity of their choice. Blizzard Entertainment and Riot Games have kindly donated the prize pool for SC2 and LoL respectively! Huge thanks to each company for supporting community events so generously <3.
A major goal of AHGL is to help legitimize eSports in the West, to show that Starcraft 2 is an amazing platform for fun, friendly competition and teamwork WE're better than corporate softball! Tune in on Saturday for fun en masse! Make sure to be rooting as LOUD AS YOU CAN. Fun is of utmost priority.

This.
Final item under AHGL FAQ:
Q: Can I attend the live finals? Are they open to the public? A: We’re hoping to invite a limited number of people from the community this time. Look for more updates on this in the future!
Finals are 4 days away, hoping to hear these updates sooner rather than later...

What whattt, I didn't know there was a AHGL for LoL too. If you helped set that up you da man. Lookin forward to it!

Great league! Thanks to all those at Day9.tv for setting this up. It is wonderful to see the SC2 community also reaching out to other esports and expanding to League of Legneds as well.
It has been an absolute blast playing in the AHGL Season 2, and while I'm bummed that my team didnt make the finals, I cant wait to watch them Flying out to LA tomorrow night!
Hopefully in Season 3 we will be able to tear it up!
Great jobs to Amazon, EA, Epic, and IBM, and of course to Day[9] for just being an all around baller and making all this happen.

The spread for ATrain beating Zai is currently set to 20 pins!

Anyone know if spectators are allowed at the venue? I live in Santa Monica and it'd be awesome if I could go since I'll be coming home from university that weekend.
If no one replies, I'll assume that it's a no

Day9 usually has the VOD's up on his YT account the very next day. It's been like that since AHGL started.
So this is what EA does instead of making good games. Good to know.
Anyway, it's nice to see K9 so I hope I'll catch this.

Epic team captain reporting in.

what? is IdrA playing for IBM >.>

i love redbull will deffo watch this tourney
This is gonna be awesome! I'll get home from my baseball game and watch SC2 for the rest of the day... that's what I'm talkin bout. BTW, there is a typo when the casters are listed. It says "Phreak and Rivington fpr League of Legends," so it obviously should be "for"
I really enjoyed last year's finals! Great to have Husky on board again too! Will definitely tune in. (StarCraft II that is)

AmazonPrime omg lol is it bad that the most interesting part of this thread is this post?
TT @ hotbid I'll watch the sc2 content :3
omfg Hotbid... lmao... :D. I feel like that joke only works for SOTG fans tho. B).
-Anyways, lookin forward to the sc2 part. Not gonna bother with the LoL part, for reason's I wont go into. (off-topic).
Gogo IBM. I shall be cheering you on!!!
I like the idea behind AHGL and hopefully it will grow as more companies join in for future seasons. Besides, it's for charity, what's not to like?
I want to see Day9 cast one of the LoL games. The less he knows about the game the more entertaining it would be...
Is the SC2 already over or has it yet to begin?
Yet to begin I think:
League of Legends Finals: 1pm to 5pm Starcraft 2 Finals: 5:30pm to 9pm
half an hour
I dont know anything about LoL, but the casters sound really professional, a bit more than SC2 tbh
it is starting
Day9 didn't cast any LoL today, but he tried his hand at casting a game with Phreak at the Riot party the night before. It became a hilarious commentary of how the champions were dressed and what their abilities reminded him of....with one of his favorites being Rammus and his Sonic the Hedgehog spin.
And he was so dissapointed when he started singing the old Sonic the Hedgehog cartoon song, hoping that others would sing the rest. I shouted it out but he didn't hear it. I knew it Sean, I knew it!
