Deathlord is still relatively popular card so that interaction was bound to occur in testing unless they merely test stuff with awful TGT only decks lol.

That's pretty silly. Mistcaller is such a fun card to play. I need to fiddle around with the Shaman deck I have and see if I can make it a bit better.

I really dislike the entire interview process in general though, I'm real bad at talking myself up. I just wrote up a response to this but it made me sound really douchey. I can try to give you some interviewing advice if you need it but I don't know if you need nor do I know how helpful it would be.

![]() Last night, shortly before DMing my new evil campaign, I drew this up for my friends. They are recruits for a crime syndicate called the Order of the Snake. I will probably do some more work on it to make it look better, but this is just what I managed to get done in ~45 minutes. edit - I know my drawings aren't much to look at yet, but I'm learning

I highly doubt blizzard didn't figure that out during their testing so it was their conscious decision to either not change the implementation or go with text that board conveys what it does but is not accurate. Judging on their card text in the past I'm thinking the latter is what happened. Deathlord is still relatively popular card so that interaction was bound to occur in testing unless they merely test stuff with awful TGT only decks lol. You would be really surprised how many seemingly obvious interactions get missed in a game with so many interactions, especially with over a hundred other cards to test. More importantly, when text and function don't match the fault isn't necessarily with the text. As in some other cases (SEE: Tracking and Chromaggus) the intent is properly described in the text but the implementation doesn't match. That's not the fault of the designer/templater, but the fault of the code and/or the developer and/or QA.

Yeah, I still have to go out and get charcoal and a kneading eraser so I can do more proper shading. This was just something I wanted to get quickly thrown together because it's a mural inside of the crime syndicate headquarters - I'm trying to do better stage setting for my campaign. Shading in general is still a hard concept for me. With the water tribe symbol talisman I did the other night, it was really cool how things started to jump out and take as I started to shade things - it was a very small eureka moment Just figured I'd share since I've done so for my other drawings. But, critique noted, thanks ^.^

I would argue correct proportion is more important than detail at this point. You can detail in some really janky looking stuff and it still looks janky even with beautiful shading. This is from one semester of drawing class though. Diagrammatic lines are op. aka the first few weeks of the course involved zero shading or fine details. you need to practice studying what you're looking at and it's relation to other objects. it's amazing how what you think you see is not really that way. you keep looking and trying to get it right on paper and rinse and repeat. i don't really have any experience making my own stuff up, but my impression is that you would study the real things or examples and try to replicate that in your own way. i.e. you drew a snake so I would do some "studies" on pictures of snakes. you get a feel for it that way.

The snake was harder to figure out how I wanted to wrap it around, how to proportion it, how to make the head shape not look like ass, how to make the mouth look open and have dimension to it... the shading was a quick "I need to give it a little something" before sending the picture to the party members. I don't mind being slow at things. I'm just glad that I'm committing to the "have an interesting creative idea - try and draw something" part of it.
