Or you could explain it the way it actually does work and how being in S2 actually does mean you're ranked higher than 60% of millions and millions of people and that's not unimpressive. It just depends on where you want to say the "good at the game" bar is. The TL definition is incredibly elitist. If good at the game just means you're better than the average player, then you're good at the game. The way I explain it to people is that I'm in the top 1% of all players, but in order to get paid to do it I'd have to be in the top .01% of all players, so I'd have to be 100x better than I am. But top 1% is still respectable. | ||

I'd be willing to bet that anybody who picks a strong champion, only plays that champion, and builds what champion.gg / probuilds tells them to, can get to high silver, even a complete idiot. Gold is probably the point where you have to not be a complete idiot. | ||
