So. If you play Aviana + Thaurissan on 10 (or 8 with Innervate/9 with Coin/etc), and she stays alive until your next turn... all minions are 0. All minions. Welp. Time to be drood. | ||

So it changes the cost to 1 which is consistent with other effects that set a cost like Kirin Tor Mage(set to 0). However unlike Kirin tor which overrides any mana cost manipulation, Aviana allows cards to be reduced. Seems inconsistent. The text doesn't reflect what it does. | ||

Scenario - You play Kirin Tor, but the previous turn, your opponent played Loatheb. Does your secret cost 0 or 5 mana? I don't actually know the answer. | ||

That seems comparable to my scenario then. Loatheb makes spells cost +5, but then Kirin Tor overrides and makes secret cost 0. I guess it's a reverse of sequence of events (increase/decrease then override vs override then increase/decrease), but I can't think of another comparable situation. | ||

And does it mean that if you somehow play Mech Druid or something silly like that, you drop Aviana, a Mechwarper, then you can empty your whole hand of mechs because they now cost 0? I can see the "Aviana is played and her persistent effects sets costs to 1, then Emperor's effect activates at the end of the turn and applies the reduction on top of ongoing effect", though. | ||
