I do really enjoy the game, it's just a lot of work lol Don't worry so much about that stuff when you're starting out.
When you suck, the most important thing is just to yolo and try and kill stuff, then don't do it again when you realize you can't kill stuff.

He drops rocky copies of him that look cute. Then he can kick someone or a rock. Budget force staff yo! Damages what it goes through, if it's a rock it also stuns. He rolls toward a direction, damaging whatever he goes through and he stops if it's a hero (and reappears behind it). If he rolls on a rock, he doubles the speed/distance of the roll and slows heroes hit. He can also pull either a rock or an ally to him. Silences stuff along the way, damages too if it's a rock.
His ult puts a debuff on enemy heroes around him. The debuff is a DoT for the enemies; whenever something with the debuff gets in range of a rock, it destroys it and the rock spreads the debuff in a wider area. It refreshes the debuff on enemy heroes. So you can keep dropping rocks (or manipulating ones already on the field) to spread a spell that already does ~300 damage to the entire enemy team, then you keep refreshing it so you somehow deal 1k damage, boom. Also when you slow (W) or silence (E) a magnetised enemy hero, all other magnetised heroes take the cc.
Man I checked out the wiki and they changed him again, now his stun isn't spread through his ult's debuff, his roll doesn't destroy the remnant anymore but his ult does (it just used to make them unable to spread the ult again). He's so hugely different from when he got ported. @_@
TL;DR he's got Lee's ult, Gnar's Hop that can slow you, Thresh's Lantern, and if he presses R all his rocks become Teemo shrooms for people near him.
Also I'm alone and still in holidays till the end of the week so if people do the dotos at reasonable hours (read if you're West Coast and start at 8 PM that's a nope) I can fill in, that'll help Soniv feel better.

I played earth spirit for awhile specifically to learn whatever the crap it is that he does. Now that I stopped I've forgotten it all. Very fun to play though.

BUT SO HARD %EHGSHG%
I didn't get the turn rate thing, and especially that if you don't click quite precisely he's going to smash the remnant about anywhere (since you can't click the remnant itself, you gotta click the direction where you want to send it, while clicking near it), and managing the amount of remnant got quite hard when they put a 30s recharge time on them. I guess it's a bit easier now that Rolling Boulder doesn't destroy them.
But yeah playing such a direction/turn rate-sensitive hero on smart cast while starting out wasn't probably the best idea. Whatever, it's Kaolin, so wurf! Oh, there's also his Aghs upgrade, which is hilarious although suboptimal from what I got.

I love losing to pallys in arena with 6 secrets in the first 7 turns of the game (3 avenge, 2 noble, 1 redemption) lol

His ult never spread the stun, it only spread the slow/silence.
Rolling Boulder also never destroyed the remnant used.
His ult also always destroyed the rocks, the only change was that they last less time after they're triggered (used to be they were still usable within 8 seconds of being magnetized, now only 5s).
Literally all the things you just said were "changes" were true when the hero was released, lol.

Uh... are you sure about that? I'm pretty certain (and the wiki used to list it, since I relied on it) that Rolling Boulder destroyed the remnant it passed over. Weird...

Alaric please. You're not helping

Alaric's really overcomplicating things. The simple breakdown of Earth Spirit:
D: Stone Remnant. Every other skill in his kit interacts with this. They all do something without a remnant, but are all generally better with them.
Q: Lee Sin Ulti. Can target units or remnants. Enemy units only get the pass-through stun if a remnant was kicked, units only do damage.
W: Gragas E, except it only slows and only does it to the target you hit. Goes twice as far if you roll over a remnant along the way.
E: Thresh Lantern. Can pull allies or remnants. Silences anything the target passes through, and damages them if it's a remnant.
R: Applies an AoE DoT to all enemies in 300 range of you. While the DoT is on them, they all share the slow/silence from your W/E if any of them get hit by it. If any of them come close to a remnant, the remnant explodes and refreshes the duration of the DoT on any of those enemies nearby.
Basically his only "complicated" skill to understand is his ulti.

Averna is very good holy shit.
Anuberak could be useful, remains to be seen.

I read it as reduce by 1. Yea looks way better now that it costs 1 but I still think it may just mean you have a 5/5 body along with your high mana cost legendary. It sticking around seems unlikely.

Aviana + Innervate on turn 10 is fuckin get huge o'clock holy shit. Pick the three biggest cards you have. They come out alongside a 5/5. That's great.
It's a good day to be a Ramp Druid.

I mean, they have to remove the 5/5 that turn, and it comes out with a big minion if you've got 10 mana. If they're got enough removal to deal with both, you still got a nice tempo upswing. If not, then you get a good minion out for at least one turn. It's a very interesting and terrifying card.

I have a very hard time seeing Anuberak be useful at least from my extremely limited rogue experience my main problem was usually running out of hp it's hypothetically a lot of value but idk if you can afford to play something that slow
