Ancestral Knowledge is a flatout worse Arcane Intellect. The fact that Shaman may consider taking it despite it completely ruining their mana curve should speak to how bad the class is in general.
Mukla's Champion is...eh, feels bad because of the stats, even in arena (because if you have board control you probably already won). 3HP is no. If played at all, it will be in Zoo, and I don't think it warrants a spot.
Jousting cards are ALL bad in constructed. Too unreliable for subpar stats, and overall unimpactful effects. May be average in arena.
Eadric the Pure could repopularize control paladin, but I mean really. pls no.
I would be loathe to say that Joust cards are all bad in constructed. They're meta dependent. If you play against Zoo/Rush decks most of the time, then they're great. You're highly likely to get an effect.
I don't get the "unreliable" argument. Harrison is "unreliable" because only ~half the classes use weapons and he's useless against Mage/Warlock/Priest/Druid and many Shaman. BGH is "unreliable" because he has subpar stats against Zoo or Face decks.
I wouldn't build an entire deck around Joust, but having the Tuskarr Jouster in a slower Paladin deck is nothing bad by a long shot.

I'm not quite as down on Joust as Tolkien, but the unreliability is a pretty big issue. Tuskaar Jouster may look like a better Antique Healbot, but if it whiffs you're in deep trouble.
It is pretty neat that you can peek into your opponent's deck though. That's valuable.

Harrison and BGH give you a consistent result though. When you play them, you know exactly what result you're going to get. Even if you get nothing from the Battlecry, you know that at the point when you drew the card, so you can play around that.
Tuskarr Jouster--you don't know whether you gain the life until you've already played the card, which means it fucks with how you plan out your turns.

First you noticed you were running out of mana -> chalice. Then you kept running out health despite spamming oranges so bloodthirster is a natural next buy imo.

2) Out of the joust cards we have:
1/2 that turns into 2/3 sucks because Chow is king. No need to have unreliability in your anti-aggro tech.
4 mana 5/3 that gains charge. One word: LOL. This ain't for control decks despite joust.
6 mana 5/6 that can turn into a sunwalker +1/+1...but who actually plays sunwalker besides ramp drood, and that's out of meta for a reason. It's not necessarily a bad card in constructed as it can trade positively with a 5/5 body, but still: is it worth a slot? Eh.
Why pick Tuskar Jouster when you can just pick Healbot for more reliability against all decks? +2/+2 does not justify unreliability in effect. Because yes, you will need healbot vs Wallet Warrior.

Was it ever up for debate? Things carry over from league, and my singleminded focus on farming is one of them. If I could play muh hard carries this would be considered excellent play.

I mean, yeah, I did that when I could. I'm not completely lost, I've played a few dozen dota games. There's just a lot to learn just for heroes and items, and then map movements and when to do certain things...
I do really enjoy the game, it's just a lot of work lol
