If I weren't already addicted to mapping (and avoiding adding another game to my list) I'd be tempted to give something like slashdiablo a shot.
There was a Diablo 2 speedrun at the recent GDQ event. It was decent, I would check it out if you are interested.

Refusing to pay for bw remastered because you don't like hearthstone's business model is just pleb tier dodging.
We see through you :p
I already bought it, so how's that for dodging?
They also broke the game for weeks at a time when they were preparing the game for remastered (and over weekends too), so no, they didn't fix it within a couple of hours. It was almost broken more than it was working, until the very end when it was stable for a while.
they broke the game for me from 1.18 ptr to 1.19.5.
d2 still the best arpg on the market. slash is cancer. either play median xl or wait for the PoD ladder reset in mid september. /r/pathofdiablo they have loot filters, maps, rebalanced skill trees, vaal orbs and a bunch of other QoL things
The biggest problem with any of these servers like path of diablo is that their hardcore population is way too small. Even slashdiablo which has a higher population overall still has a fairly low population for hardcore.
