The general rule of thumb is you want like 1k+ hp to comfortably do HC Malachai avoiding potential one shots. Act 5 you probably want 1.5 times that and runspeed. | ||

Plus SC has a different fun to it, embracing that you can die and seeing how far you can push your limits in a different sense. You know you're going to die(not outright on purpose though obviously), but finding that line where you are just tough enough to only die when shit well and truly just goes completely against you is something you can't really do in HC(I mean I guess you could if you are ready to throw away characters left and right). | ||

As far as difficulty goes, (and I'm trying not to read spoilers from you guys here) I finally just started to figure out how my build works and now I'm already noticing things getting more difficult. Kinda hilarious this build though, toss an AoE DoT, fire a bolt and then watching EVERYTHING die and spread. On HC vs SC, I generally would much rather play HC because I like the inherent risk and challenge involved. Once I play through all the content and know what to look out for, I'll likely roll a HC toon, because right now I'm mostly prioritizing damage and being reckless, running and pulling huge groups of guys to kill them all, and dying to bosses and stuff. When you play HC, survivability above all else. I just started A5 (in SC) and I'm sitting at something like 900 HP and 6-900 ES depending on if I'm using that increased ES skill, and I feel like that's nowhere near enough. No way would I be continuing on with content as is if this were a HC character. | ||
