So we've been having a bit of extreme weather up in TO this week. Driving home yesterday on the highway there was flooding and cars coming the opposite way would displace a wall of water onto my car. Kinda cool but a little dangerous.
Today's storm was even worse and I actually had to stop for a bit because visibility was so low. Anyway just before the rain started I was listening to the radio and Lithium by Nirvana was on. It was drizzling a little bit but then right at 0:38s, the skies opened up. It was somewhat poetic.

Now it's been driving me a little bit nuts, because I could swear there is a word or term for when music just sort of seems to 'fit' into life somehow as if it were a movie soundtrack? I dunno I can't find it.
That ever happen to you guys?

Looks fun but is good enough to grind currency til you can afford the items and maps you need to reroll a build that is good enough to grind higher end stuff to grind currency til you can afford the items and maps you need to reroll an actual end game build*
Fixed!

PoE is one of those games that has everything i like put together. but like, no tutorial that covers enough for me to get into it.

Tutorial? Plz PX It's a Diablo clone, you click on shit, pick up items and put them on and click more shit
There was no tutorial for D2 either and it's just as complex

There was no tutorial for D2 either and it's just as complex D2 didnt have UI that looked like garbage, and had significantly simpler skill trees, and you didnt need to find the skills anywhere.
The game needs serious tutorialization.

I mean a long text to read isn't a tutorial it's a manual. And it's not too much better than just googling the same thing (which i've done) and reading it there.
It's not a bad game. its just really tough to get into because of how frustrating it is to actually play early on. Everything i hear about it tells me i'd love it.

It's only slightly more complicated than D2 was, at least when I played it a few years ago. Just find something that sounds cool and go for it. Yeah, your first character or twelve will suck, but (pre-3.0) you can beat at least the first difficulty with a sucky character no problem, and you'll learn a lot along the way. Then you'll have a better idea of what you like, what works, and what doesn't, and your next character will be better.
Simply put, you don't need to understand the game before you play it. Just play it and embrace the joy of learning as you go.

I dont mind that. Thats never been the issue with PoE for me. It's that i dont know how to do the things i want to do, and the UI is fighting you every step, and it's just really badly designed from a UX perspective. The systems and the gameplay were never the issue for me.

D2 UI was shit lol. Don't know how you can hate on PoEs one when they basically the same levels are meh.

One of them came out in 2013 and is still being updated and is in 1080p. The other is from 2000, with a resolution on launch of at most 800x600.
The fact that the UI is less readable, and just as functional as something that is now 17 years old....

Zzz... fuck me. Like 3 streamers released build guides for the build I was going to play. (2HD Sunder Berzerker).
Do i play it anyway and deal with inflated costs or figure something else out? Or pick something cookie cutter?

Play it if you like the archetype, switch if you don't.

I don't remember the UI/UX being that bad, and I'm usually sensitive to that sort of thing because that's literally my job (though if the game is good enough I soldier on through it, see CK2 and Dwarf Fortress).

I also don't remember UI being that bad but it's been awhile so could be mistaken. It served it's purpose fine and didn't get in the way of playing. Isn't that want you want as a UI?

I dont remember PX being a casual

I myself have been thinking of a good League Starter build as well for 3.0.
Last season was the first season I tried to really get into "endgame", ran an EQ Jugg that did well, but I got stuck at lvl 13-14 maps lol.
Thinking of either a good Templar or Witch starter build.
