We got in an encounter, and I finally got to try something I've always wanted. "Command: Suicide" worked. It was just about the most evil feeling ever, and it was awesome.

Notably this is the only way to make Paladin characters interesting. (LG worse alignment than CE)

But our party is hilarious (we usually have anywhere from 6-8 people playing, so it's super chaotic and hard for our DMs). Drunk DnD is way too much fun.

Always good when the best solution to your problem is Celestial Bureaucracy or ticking the fate spider things.

You know it would be a blast. Even if we just randomly got together for a few hours every so often (really as often as our schedules/desires allowed). edit: GO AWAY OWB

I'd love to play with people I liked. You have to play with people that are really into it. Playing at school would kinda blow cuz there are always those people that are like "this is stupid, I don't want to play this nerd game". But if you have people who want to make it fun, it's a fucking blast.

While I can understand why she is people's favourite girl, playing her route (got it first after "Kenji" 's thrice, hue, although it prob "should" have been Hanako's) def. made her look like an archetype. Not that it's a bad thing in itself (depends on the goals and means, Alice in MonMusu is very archetypical on several points but that's good because the game aims at playing around with tropes and archetypes so it "requires" characters to be this way, for example), however being conscious of how something is made archetypal to be tailored toward a certain audience and answer/cater to their expectations definitely makes it harder to enjoy said something on a personal level. However, despite being obviously designed as a "perfect girl", it's still executed well enough (and not too overbearing) that it kinda works. (Maybe that sounds a bit too pejorative. Uh, let's take a popular example like Air or Clannad: if you're part of the targeted audience, sure, you'll get "dem feels", but when thinking rationally about it it's not "it was the best piece ever written", there's a fair share of "I have these obvious strings sticking up, and the story was specifically tailored to pull on them as hard as possible". It's not exactly cheating, but more than good writing it's clever writing (which takes skill too, just on a different level ).Edit: anyway, obv. inb4 Neo disappoint moment.) More broadly KS' writing surprised me, not that I'm the kind to read/play dating sims so I dunno how deep they usually are; I didn't expect the writing to be as good as it is, nor for it to be focused on plausible interactions, and the personalities rather than disabilities/exagerated drama (tragic dying girl syndrom). Gets way more interesting when you can reflect on characters' traits and thought processes from their own view point outside of when playing the game. Almost got Rin's good ending on the first try, maybe if I wasn't so tired or thought a bit longer when making the choice that lead to the bad ending. I got the intent right, but not the means (notmyfaultEmigetssomadwhenyoutrytoaskhertoexplainIdidherroute2ndsoIwasbrainwashedintonotdaringtovoicemyneedforunderstandingtoomuch) and after the choice I read a sentence or two then told myself "Uh, no, that's the wrong way to go about it, should have been the other choice to relieve her fears". Welp. Lilly and Rin are the best for me because, well, I relate to Rin (understanding and lack thereof can make relationships hard, knowing when to let go and when to hold tight is what makes love happen), and Lilly is kind of my dream girl (someone who lives a quiet life and cares deeply for those around her). Getting the bad end in Emi's is always the worst feeling. Seriously. + Show Spoiler + Well maybe not as bad as Hanako's. + Show Spoiler + Though Rin's is really painful too. + Show Spoiler + And Lilly's just left me empty when I forced myself to get it. + Show Spoiler + Maybe I'm just lonely T.T On September 19 2013 22:13 JonGalt wrote: alright, thanks guys! gonna read enders game first, then delve into wheel of time. If you're going to read Ender's Game, at least read Ender's Shadow and Speaker for the Dead as well. The rest of the Shadow series (following Bean) is hit or miss depending on how you feel about political thrillers, and everything after Speaker can be... off. But those 3 are damn brilliant as far as sci-fi writing goes. Though we often get sidetracked haha Everything about League D&D Ok. I, uh, kind of had a short LoL themed tabletop story idea for a short-ish campaign, was always too embarrassed to see if anyone was interested >.> I was trying to find a system that would fit the world better, maybe like Mutants and Masterminds or Pathfinder. Would people seriously be interested in joining a campaign set in Valoran? I've played in online D&D games before, they can be pretty good as long as everyone's willing to participate.
