the project leadership team decided to be sloppy and start a development task without well thought out requirements and design docs. now that they're a week away from a big demo with a code freeze in 2 days, they're panicking and changing stuff around without direction. meanwhile I, the emergency UI guy they brought in to get the demo ready, am getting reamed in the ass. /rant
