Hearthstone arena runs went 2-3, 3-3. I think I had high expectations coming from a magic background in my past but it's k. I caught a lot of my misplays right after or a little after so I think I'm at least learning. There's definitely some game knowledge with the classes/cards available to the opponent that I'll get with time. Then my brother gets his acct and the day of goes 10-3 lol. Played some Magic over the week-end (my host had brought other friends and they spent a good deal of their time playing EDH, including when I was there), got trashed, didn't matter, was fun. Although they weren't too open to external interventions when they spent 15 minutes resolving a Living Death, strangely enough. It was a bit like playing DotA after so long of LoL : you get trashed, you think that stuff's broken, but because you don't know anything you just don't care, go "yeah, I learnt new things about the game!" and you move on to your next trashing. Yeah yesterday I had a really shitty run with a mage deck. The deck was about 80% 1-4 drops (about 50% were 1-2 drops with mana worm, novice engineer, mirror image, etc) and I somehow got almost all my high cards always. My starting hand was ogre, flamestrike, and blizzard so I redrew and got 2 flamestrikes and fireball...vs a hunter. Died in like 6 turns. 2nd game, my internet disconnected for FIVE seconds, and then reconnected, and apparently there is no reconnect feature for hearthstone. If your internet dies for a SECOND even if it's your opponents turn, you auto lose. Last game I got ogre, flamestike, and polymoprh. Redrew everything and got 2 polymorphs and water elemental vs a rush warlock deck. First draw: argent commander. Ya okay. WHY IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE. So ended 0-3. 25 dust and 1 pack: the pack had a gold sunfury protector and a gadgetzen auctioneer, which is better than any other pack I've gotten so far considering 2 rares. Like wtf lol. | ||
