Go back to books you're not wanted here.
i dont like old movies cause they're basically shitty watered down books
Well, a lot of them were like that, yeah, but there's no way it's even 50%. Comedies basically never, some like it hot or big business or modern times or safety last come to mind. Only high profile adaption I can think of is the philadelphia story and it's not even from a book.
Actually comedies today are much much more likely to be aping a novel because so many of them are basically just modernized jane austen.
It's when you get into the drama that adaptions (and if you saw a movie that was trying to be novelistic, it was an adaptation) start to clog up the works. Some of them turn out well like treasure of the sierra madre or gone with the wind or the big sleep, but for every one of those there's some bullshit like the hustler. So I can buy that argument, sorta-ish, except it's easy to display the tiniest shred of selectively instead of just selecting movies at random, so the relative proportion of shit to money is not that significant.
well i dont really watch comedies so those are out
i confess i have no desire to read or watch gone with the wind the story seems so boring to me lol orz same with the big sleep
for me, books and movies and anime and manga are just about the story, and i think im after a different sort of story when im reading compared to when im watching a movie
like i'd never watch a movie adaptation of anna karenina or crime and punishment cause it'd just feel super boring lol
and the kinds of stories that dominated "older" films all feel boring to me
i'd much rather watch inception than read a book version of inception (god that'd be awful); similar i'd rather read a lot of books than watch a movie adaptation...
So you want stories from books and just blockbusters from movies? That's cool, I can respect that, but that's not really a reason to call movies trash just because it's outside your wheelhouse.
i think movies were a weak medium before the technology improved cause they were basically average stories - not as detailed as a book, not as awesome visually as most modern movies
compromise is shit you gotta go for extremes to achieve anything substantial
its not a preference criticism its an objective criticism of characteristics
Eeehhh.... I can accept that. I mean, I'm not the type to criticize something based on the technological restrictions of the time, but sure, that's fair enough if you want to look at it that way. Sorry if I offended.
i dont think i have ever been offended by anything on the internet

Well, I was surprised when I went to Japan and they had stalls where they would just serve freshly fried potato chips and drizzled with chocolate and served with frosting for about $4.
And their curry is sweet. Japanese are just weird like that.
Most of restaurants in Japan are spicy, some have options for spicy and sweet.
And there are also a prolific amount of Indian restaurants in big cities that serve authentic curry. And Thai curry has coconut milk, which is sweet too.

Isn't Outlands Draenor?
Technically yes, Outlands was believed to be the largest intact part of the former planet Draenor. I'm assuming the new expansion will be the actual intact planet, or at least another sizeable chunk of it with its own Dark Portal(there were several).
Hnnnnnnnng SA OST arranged too good, I'd listen to it all day but then I wouldn't play or watch series because no sound. >_< First world problems gg. If I could listen to it at work my productivity would probably skyrocket, so pumped.

ghibli movies are trash
ghost in the shell was hour and a half of nothing happening and watching shitty anime matrix
I found Matrix shitty and undeserving of its overhype, where do I sit?
Didn't like Batman Begins either. I wouldn't go as far as to say that it was a bad film, but it was definitely a bad Batman, and activated my usual "get mad when most people love something way more than you think it deserves because it'll give it popularity/legacy". Only other Batman I saw was Burton's 2nd, which I really enjoyed. Like the Penguin part more than Catwoman's though, be it the arc or the acting. No superpowers, no bazooka or amazing fighting skills or what have you, just a great villain riding on his appearance and abusing the medias. Loved the part that could sum it up, by "The Penguin made people think Batman had lost it and was a villain because he punched him".
I loved the Godfather, which I think is an interesting movie considering the topic: I later learnt that it was adapted from a book, except that it decided to end before the book's, at one point which could make a decent ending without too much hanging while still being open. It also lasted 3 hours, and didn't have too much action.
Now you adapt books where you can put explosions, you say "fuck the plot" (exaggeration obv.) and you try to cram as much as possible because people won't go watch it if it's too long or needs them to get too much into it to enjoy it. You'd never see a movie adaptation of the Godfather now, sure, you had Harry Potter daring to do movies 2 hours apiece, and you've had Jackson doing LotR, but that was a passionnate doing his thing and an exception.

no
when going to nap you think about not wanting to wake up too late so you dream about that.
