So we are now sightseeing together and telling people she is a model and I am her photographer, and it is kind of super fun.
Indo-Dutch people are loads of fun.
That's where the only good dinner food in the Netherlands comes from lol.

So things I've learned in Dark Souls.
-Starting Thief was perhaps not the best idea. -Whenever you think you've got the hang of things, you'll fuck it up. -Stats, how do they work. -Just because you can open a door, doesn't mean you should. -I have no idea what weapon I want to use. I've been told it's important. But I do want to use this crossbow I found. -This game is suffering but fair. Even the barrel of doom was something I could of avoided if I had paid more attention.

As someone who isn't well acquainted with the Souls games, someone who is more invested in the series is going to have to explain to me why the systems underlying the mechanics are made so deliberately opaque at the start of the game.
For a game that's otherwise known for being very "fair" about it's difficulty, what purpose does the game not telling you directly how things work serve (ESPECIALLY at character creation when you have to pick a class without full knowledge of what mechanically differentiates them all)?
I get how the rest of the game is "fair" in that everything intrinsically follows the rules of the game and anything that can really get you killed has sufficient tells such that if you died you clearly fucked up and don't feel "cheated", but the game being so thoroughly unhelpful about what stats do seems to be a big break with this.

I agree that not disclosing stats at the very beginning of the game, but in the options menu, you can easily see what every stat does before you level it. I never had a problem knowing what they did.

Qualitatively, sure. But, for example, I can't even know if defenses interact with attacks additively or multiplicatively (i.e. does X amount of defense reduce an attack by a % or by a flat amount?) without looking it up.
It was mostly directed at character creation, though.

I tried playing Dark Soul then I realized that if I wanted to play an extremely defensive game I would play smash4.

7 minutes until I leave,
"Can you work till noon?"
No, I can't I've been here since noon, yesterday. You're already here and can do what I do. And if you can't, but I know you can, then call me. I'll fix it from my house by making it work on your machine for you.
I just want to sleep man

Did you forget to use suncream or did you miss a spot?
Last year I forgot to do my feet.
Having to wear socks and shoes with sunburnt feet is horrible.
