I actually tried, but she just kinda came in with me and started helping. It was actually pretty cute :3 This is actually extremely 100% typical Asian girlfriend. So is ok. Also, good that she laughs at you, you deserve it.

Ender's Game is a short book, but it's so jam-packed with key content that they really couldn't cut everything without making the movie complete dog crap. So they went through all of the characters, but they went really fast through everything. It wasn't perfect, but it was smarter to focus on Ender than everyone else. There needs to be no small amount of focus on Ender to make the ending have any impact, and there was no time for anything else. Cutting the movie into two parts woulld have solved the problem but probably pissed you off. As for Bean in the launch group, where else would you put him? If he was just placed in Dragon Army out of nowhere, he wouldn't even have time to get a line off. Alai showed a lot of significance as Ender's first friend, and I think even my sister, who had never read the books, caught the significance there. The kid who played Ender was pretty impressive honestly, Harrison Ford did a good job of constantly toeing the line between respect and hate for Graff, and given the expectations that I had going in, Ender's Game impressed me. I disagree strongly, because by rushing through and having a slideshow of characters, it completely removed any attachment. I didn't even get the feel of Alai being any significant friend to Ender - there was no sense of an actual connection between any of the characters besides Ender-Bonzo. I didn't have a problem with Bean being in the launch per se, it was just a jumping point for me to see why I felt it was off. The final reveal wasn't even dramatic, even for a new viewer :

Is it worth it to take time to do worldbuilding and deeper character construction or should I just try to muscle through? I mean... We have very little idea what you're trying to write. If it's a short mystery piece, plan the plot out in detail, because that's the hook. If it's noir-ish, you need a good sense of the characters. Mystery horror, focus on how you intend to invoke terror or disgust. Different genres have different priorities.

More like mystery horror, trying to get people to look over their shoulders and shiver. I have a couple sequences in mind and an idea of the "monsters", but no like plot to get them from section to section. Happy Birthday baby I'll be there soon with your present <3

That said, I do have a 5 year old Logitech USB keyboard that I've been using since my Razor one died last year. The wired connection is loose, and if it moves at all they keyboard disconnects very quickly.

Edit: when I was a little kid (6ish) when I was making kool-aid I put salt in it instead of sugar and of course being a kid I wanted extra sugar..... Worst fucking thing ever... Then being the complete moron I was.... I figured I did something wrong while mixing it and tried to redo the process and added even more salt in the second time. Fuck worst tasting kool aid ever
