I guess I'll just pull my pants up a little bit higher tommorow kek To redirect the blame about the pants I went to buy this thing with my brother and his gf specifically so they can tell me whether it looks good and whether it fits or not. I consider this their failure.

WHICH REMINDS ME.
Nando's is actually legit. The Extra Hot sauce is actually spicy, which is something I normally don't say about white people food (and is comparable to some of my favorite Sichuan places, though the after-burn is less pleasant [then again, Sichuan spicy is very unique]). Chicken is well-cooked, and the sides are good. The Natas look exactly like Chinese egg tarts, though the custard has a different, sweeter/more vanilla flavor.
I can see it doing well in the area, as it's essentially Panera's service, except they also serve wine and beer with happy hour specials (though no brunch specials!!!), although DC is generally enamored with their peruvian chicken, and it's a tough comparison there (since Peruvian chicken is awesome).
Also:
1) That suit/pants are black. I thought so, but Scip confirmed it for me soniv. Black suit, black shoes.
2) Black shoes are fine with grey/navy pants/suits. For an easy color-matching scheme, http://www.realmenrealstyle.com/matching-shoes-with-suit/

If you want some spicy sauce I think we still got a bottle or two of triple extra hot which they were experimenting with 12 odd years ago about never brought it out properly :D. Got some spicy brandy too(Brandy with hot sauce in it)
For suits I generally go with "default black shoes and if it doesn't work look around afterwards".

sichuan spicy is disgusting, it's like super salty heat that leaves a nasty aftertaste.

I know there's simple, intuitive stuff coming from contrast, not looking jarring, etc. but I can't get with the way there are "rules", codified, and presented like absolute rituals and stuff like that. In a way, presenting it like that comes off as ridiculous and full of oneself to me.

OK that is definitely not a black suit. In any case, you should not wear black suits outside of truly formal occasions or funerals. Charcoal/navy work much better, and both of those work perfectly fine with black shoes. Don't know why you're ragging on him for blue suit/black shoes.
I think dark brown shoes don't work very well unless you're older/in a super professional setting, but a lighter brown, walnut, cognac, etc. brown would work just fine.

They're not as much rules as a general guideline to what's aesthetically pleasing.

Other suit tips:
Match shoe & belts, suit & socks regarding color.
Don't bother with complicated tie knots.
Full black suits are less versatile than navy/charcoal. I would only wear full black to either where dresscode is black/white or to a funeral.
Having different color shoes than suit makes for more appealing combinations.

Day 1 of Lost runs: 100+ deaths, Mom's Heart is dead.
I'm having terrible luck with item room items (1x Poly and a couple Cricket's Heads, that's it). Curse room luck is bad too, Dead Cat is not dropping for me D:
All in all spent more time restarting run than actual gameplay.
Will get the Real Platinum God tho.

I mean, it could be the 2 sichuan restaurants I've been to have been shitty. It's not like SD has good chinese food, that could be it.

I mean, I'm pretty sure Cheep already knew you had shit taste before you made that comment, and saying that just affirmed it for him, so it's not like giving excuses will change his mind, lol.

its a code for people too stupid fashion-wise to know why themselves
kinda like rules like 3 gateways/base always stay below 500 minerals etc in bw
why would you want to risk buying something that could look terrible when most random guys can help you with a combo that'll look good to everyone

For suits I generally go with "default black shoes and if it doesn't work look around afterwards". I am intrigued. The extra hot definitely works for me (and might even be slightly above my regular tolerance, but works for building up tolerance anyways). It's always pleasantly surprising to find a (non-shit, not-Chinese) restaurant that can produce actual spicy food. Then again, I suppose the chain's from SS Africa and if my experience with Ethiopian cuisine is any indication, you guys like it as much as I do.

Sichuan spicy is the best heat. Holy shit. The aftertaste is sooooooo good.

Black is generally fine for interviews, formal occasions, and stricter business occasions. And funerals.
Given he's just wearing it for high school finals, it doesn't matter too much, though a navy/gray suit is better for less formal occasions. Still, I assume everyone at the finals is wearing "my first suit", so it's w/e. I am told a blue-ish suit is better "first suit", but I was started on a black suit.

Yeah, that's why I said the way they present it gives me that impression. Not just the site provided by (I think it was Tolkien?), but the approach to fashion in general.
