I went to school once. Got my associates and was like yea that's enough. My main issue is that I get distracted by all the shiny things that I never have the attention span to stick to one field of work (I changed my major 4 times in a semester, and have changed job fields 3 times this year). That said I just don't like school. Book learning and lectures are really just not my thing at all. I'm more of a guy who wants to just do things hands on.

There are the days where I just want to work on a game until I can Kickstarter it myself and there are the days where I just want to try my hand at standup comedy.

I haven't ruled out anything, but a regular paycheck is really nice.

I've thought about it, but I fear that I'd just give up halfway through and then have like 12 months of nothing, or I'd be really gung-ho and be unable to find an team with artists and shit and would just fail.

I had my quarter life crisis when I was 20 and still in school and realized I hated my major =P

I repressed it enough to finish my degree + get a job in the field.

One day I will crack and just go get a PhD in English or something useless like that.

Also fuck you Soniv for complaining about 40 hour work days and saying at least you don't have homework and tests to study for, I do not have the former and (will) have the latter Q.Q

I know someone in med school who is also trying for an MFA. This post reminds me of such levels of insanity.

I had a huge crisis when I was 20 because I hated the shit out of my major. I trudged along and finished it, but I worked towards making is possible to do what I really want to do, and now I'm in a graduate program doing what I want to do. It was rough but I somehow made it. I had to prove myself quite strenuously that I'm actually serious about it all. I'm the weird oddball in the program.

No joke, I kinda want to go to art school. Art students and artists are always super cool and chill to hang out with. And I like the freedom they have to take their art in its own direction. I just need to get good at art first...
