I pretty much only cook basic stuff, eg. crepes, pasta, rice, sausages, steaks, potatoes, salsifis, salads (corn, tuna, etc.), still much better than always heating pre-processed stuff, and it doesn't cost much, and it's easy to make portions for one person without having leftovers (my parents give me some when I visit them, stuff like quiche that'd be hard to make for only one person, and excess fruits from their garden (chestnuts and nuts ftw), when they've got some; fish is about the only thing I eat in pre-processed stuff because I don't like it so cba to buy and cook some).
