The UI is fantastically smooth, and I like windows 8 theme on touch devices. Nokia Lumia 930 is what I'm using right now and I love all the functionality it brings. The one major downside is the lack of App Shenanigans available so that can be a problem when you are trying to keep up with what everyone else has on that side, but that just comes from being a windows phone at the moment. This is also the 3rd smart phone I've had in 3 years. Android First, Apple Second (never again please), and This one now. The main selling point for me is that the phone (specifically the 930) is built like a tank. My brother has thrown his against walls and through glass in drunken rages and his is still in one piece without case. Yeah defs not going with Apple. Supposedly if you want a tanky phone the Sony Xperia is good in that regard? (Some waterproofing shit, I dunno, not looking into getting that one. Too many choices. ) Yeah it seems bell doesn't really sell windows phones for the most part for whatever reason and after living with a blackberry for three years, I wouldn't mind some app shenanigans myself. There doesn't seem to be a selling point putting windows above any other (aside from one of those Nokias having a 41 megapixel camera?!) So many choices argh

Also, since you have a kid in the house and is still semi-post-op (at least not used to the new life?), a sturdy phone would be nice?

ALL THE CHILDRENS MOONBEAR. Do you know how skill inheritance works for children? + Show Spoiler [Fire Emblem Awakening] + The skill in the last skill slot for both parents are inherited by the child. This is important because it means fathers can pass on male-only skills to their daughters and mothers can pass on female only skills to their sons. The most important of these are probably Galeforce from the mother and Counter/Wrath/Axfaire from the father. There's also some odd ones like Luck+4 from Olivia or the Valkyrie ones for Rally bots but no one uses them anyway. The skill inheritance is determined at the time you start the Paralogue where you recruit the child, so you have plenty of time to grind out the exact skills you want to pass down to your children and rearrange the list of skills to get the right one at the bottom of the list. Note that Chrom will always pass down Aether to his children btw although he has nothing interesting in his other classes anyway and Aether is an amazing skill. Oh and don't forget that children have access to all classes of their parents! Although interestingly some characters with gender-only classes will pass on different classes to their kids. For example, Gaius will pass on Pegasus Knight to his daughters instead of Fighter.

I figured this was like the old FE's where I wanted 20 before changing no matter what.

I figured this was like the old FE's where I wanted 20 before changing no matter what. Use of Second Seals Hm. That depends. In terms of grinding for stats yes you want to delay use of the Master Seal for as long as possible because you want the maximum amount of time to just grind levels. For the Second Seal however that changes. Skills are learned at levels 1 and 10 for unpromoted units, and 5 and 15 for promoted units. So if you're skill grinding there's no point levelling beyond levels 10 and 15 respectively unless you want to squeak out a few extra chances for stat growth. If you only just want to grind out the right skills for the parents and never use them again, then yes you probably just want to blitz as fast as possible for the skills you want your children to inherit and then ignore the parents forever. If you want to use all the characters then it's some what advisable to try and get your parents at least fairly decent stats as well as skills because of the way children inherit some "free" stats from their parents so that means less stat grinding in the future. Of course, Master Seals and Second Seals are unlimited in this game because you can just buy more of them from shops after a certain point in the game so you can just go nuts. If you really want to you can even grind out flawless characters with every skill unlocked. A side note on grinding A side note on grinding levels however. Fire Emblem Awakening keeps track of something called an "internal level". This is a combination of your unit's current level, whether it's promoted or not, and the cumulative levels it has gained throughout its entire life. The internal level will affects the unit's exp gain, so a unit that's been repeatedly Second Seal'ed for grinding purposes will gain exp at a much slower rate than a fresh unit that's never used a Master Seal or Second Seal. The internal level has a cap however but the cap is much lower on Normal compared to Lunatic (i.e. it's easier to grind for levels on lower difficulties). Also, Fire Emblem keeps track of your "internal stat level". That means even if you Second Seal from a promoted class to an unpromoted class you don't lose your stats and once you promote you'll get those stats back. Interestingly, this also means that once you obtain your children, because they appear as unpromoted units you can have them already stat capped for their unpromoted state (or even their promoted state lol). I noticed that + Show Spoiler + Nah had Sol on her even though she is supposed to be a Manakete. Also this is why I am trying to grind out all of these skills and stuff.
