Let's be honest, the curve exists in league too XD at least skill wise, edit: everyone's familiar and I really mean there are still major skill gaps in our games but I think the below kinda makes up for the learning curve.

It's nice because autobuy autolevel skills spend 30seconds reading skill description or have someone explain in TS and your having fun. At least that's how I've done 80% of my smite games

Thanks for the advice Soniv and Req. I'll give those guys a try. I'm not necessarily looking for someone that plays like thor, more just cool jungle guys that can try out in noob town. Laning feels pretty weird to me so might be why I enjoyed jungling.

There's a Learning Curve in other TLLOLOTDTDN games we've played before though. I didn't know fuck all about Dota2 when we played it, and when we played TF2 there were lots of people who didn't know what each class did. Smite feels at least more noob friendly than Dota2 imo.

I'm totally willing to play if people want to, I just don't want people to not have fun if they're just lost (cuz I know that was an issue with Dota - and not because we were all hammered at that point)

Having played 10-15 games of Smite and a 2-3 of Dota, Smite came much quicker to me. It sounds like Siege can be fun with no strategy while Dota if you don't know what to do and when to do it and what to buy and when to buy it you're seriously handicapping yourself.

That's probably also a fair point. A lot of the kits can be explained like this is so-and-so's W from league and these two skills are like this other league champ's.

I've gotten a couple of my RL friends to start playing Smite every now and then. Our skype chat for it is "One True Moba". Soon, you guys will convert too.
