I know that you can easily play Magic on a budget, but it's so easy to spend tons on Magic. I mean I look at some of my friends, and if I look at how much they spent on Magic and then spent that same amount on Warhammer, I could easily field 2 painted armies and get plenty of accessories. Of course that being said, I think Magic is much cheaper to get into. My tone wasn't conveyed very well. I was just being the devil on Req's shoulder. You know how it starts. Just this one deck. But you'd also like to try that other deck. And you got to upgrade you older deck with the new cards that came out.

I had the fortune to be able to borrow a LOT of the expensive cards I needed for my BW deck before Innistrad rotated out. Dual lands/Lilliana of the Veil being two of the most notable borrows.

Just quickly plugging in what I have into an army builder, if I took double FOC and normal upgrades I could easily field upwards of 4k points. The only things I would consider adding to my current force are Spyders. I could conceivably get some Wraiths to run a Destroyer Lord star, but I actually don't like the Wraith models that much. Unfortunately, Spyders are bloody $33 each - which is pretty standard for a MC I suppose, but they're relatively small compared to like Tyranid or Daemon MCs. After that... I'd work on my Scions force. Could grab another Taurox and a Valkyrie. But honestly I think the Scions I have are just going to be set pieces, dunno if I'll ever run them. Also yeah tentatively excited about 7th. Psychic Phase doesn't affect me that much (woo no Psykers!), but new Allies chart seems interesting and I'm curious about Unbound.

They weren't more than 25€ (I think 20€ but I couldn't swear on it) when I bought one 7 years ago, and I already thought they were pretty freaking expensive. Is it the same model? I thought this Spyder model was relatively new: + Show Spoiler + ![]() Well I say relatively, but I mean within the past few years.

According to google, 20€ is about $27, and 25€ is about $34 so its not that out of wack. Plus its super ez to get 10% off. In either case that is a bizarrely expensive model. Probably finecast .

Orikan was kind of an impulse buy but now I really want to try a Tremor C'Tan list.

I'll probably hold off on them for now, but once I get them I likely won't buy anything else for my Cron force for a long time. Unless I wanted to write a tourney list, in which case I'd need a few more Scythes ![]()
