The second best thing is Space Jam. The third best thing is casual pick-up-and-play games. Casual bball is rivaled only by casual 3v3 tennis for excellence.

Even better is when those teams do better and take a cup and I get to imagine all of the upset Canadians being snarky about it(I doubt they really care). What I'm saying is that hockey teams south of the mason dixon is the same thing as a bobsled team from Jamaica.

My biggest problem with the NBA is the lack of offense rebounds. It feels like they don't conteat at all, no boxing put or anything. That's why I prefer NCAA. They aren't as good but they try harder. I agree. I really think the reason why soccer isn't as popular in the US is because basketball has taken up that niche. In the NCAA they design plays with timing so that there is the possibility that players are ready for offensive rebounds. In addition, it's harder to get defensive rebounds in a zone defense since you may have multiple people in your zone, or you might not be close to an offensive player to box him out. Ultimate is cool and all but like football, it's not really pick up because of how you need to organize players to play.

Turns out that getting position for an offensive rebound is difficult against actual competition/players your size, and almost every one of them come off of the primary rebounder being forced out of position by his help responsibility or odd/hard bounces off the rim. There are pizzas with a hell of a lot more on them than that down here. If those 3 toppings is 'all-dressed' to you, I can't imagine how you'd react to seeing an actual pizza with all the dressings. Okay, playoffs are different, but I still see plenty of slacking off during regular seasons games. Although I don't watch a ton so maybe my sample size is too small.
